I'm glad he gave curtains to Quim. I love that time period of Quim footage. So much good stuff in here.

If you take a close look, he kind of shifties the wrong way (backside) out of that 50-50 on the barrier and that's after barely getting the front truck on, too. All improvisation, zero calculation.

I remember being 14 and my mom finally letting me take the train into the city with a group of friends so that we could go skate the brooklyn banks. It was an unforgettable day. The place has an aura around it as soon as you get under the bridge that is magical. Gotta keep this place alive at all costs.

Any New Yorkers know the current status of the Banks? Fully gone, half gone?

They’re tearing up the bricks. Don’t know what comes next but doesn’t look good. Big banks were off-limits but skateable if you were in there until recently. Now it’s pretty much un-skateable even if you go in.

Lamonte McIntosh's wallride at 1:35

and

Quim's 180 at 7:18

both flowed so beautifully and I cannot stop re-watching them.

Also this is post 666 so I might have to bow out :o

First went to the banks in the mid 90s and needless to say it was one of the most memorable sessions in my life. Locals were mad cool and we ended up at a rocksteady crew reunion later that evening and Thurston Howell and the Poloricans performed. Almost go took for my Lo hat but me and my boy made it out unscathed. NY was really a special place around that time. The energy was amazing. Big ups to RB

Keeffe's fakie flip was so proper, and I've never seen that Stevie line! Damn.

That fakie flip has always been my favourite trick done there. Something special about it.

Amazing edit.

It's because he landed IN the bank and not partially on top. Judging from clips of the small banks it must have been hard to not land on top a bit. That always bugged me about clips there so I was stoked when people landed in the bank proper, and that fakie flip was always my favorite too.

That was definitely a real hardflip and not an illusion flip like the one Gangemi did on the big banks (although much respect to Gangemi regardless). Honestly one of the best examples of one done across a bank.

Wild to see the World Trade Center towers in the background of one of those lines.  Never spent too much time in NYC so I was kinda surprised by the geography of it

Also couldn’t agree more on that last trick.  Is that one of the few tricks (forget if it was fakie or nollie) that looks better that way than regular stance?
