This might be interesting.
State your weight, trucks, bushings, and what you skate.

175 lbs,  Indy 169's, Bones hard top, stock bottom, mostly street.

177 pounds. Thunder 148 hollow Lights. Bones mediums. Transition and curbs mainly.

Been considering switching back to stock bushings, these bones just fell apart on me. I've always just put bones in them right off the bat, any advice either way?

Just run the stock and don't over tighten the trucks

135 lbs, regular Independent 159s, soft Bones, transition these days

I'm not liking this setup at all. They haven't mushed in and imploded yet, but there's no rebound to them. It's not coming back the way I like it. It feels lifeless. A delayed reaction. I don't know if that makes any sense.

Buck 30, Indy soft conical bushings in 169s. Also run Supercush 88’s on some 149’s.

Mostly curbs, flat and and some transition now and then.

On my various setups (all on Indy 149s):
1. Bones medium (91a)
2. Bones hard (96a)
3. Indy cylinder medium-hard (92a)

I’m 180 lbs (yo-yo between about 175 and 190). Skate curb, ledges, parks, some transition.

I liked Bones best straight out of the box, but they fuck up the geometry too much. Trying to break in the aftermarket Indy bushings right now.

Thunder 147 standard and Indy 139 standard, have also used indy Ti forged. stock bushings. 175 lbs. small techy street stuff and carving bowls. no grinds other than slappy type stuff. I like trucks on the looser side, but prefer the back one relatively tight if I'm flipping the board.

I 100% make sure that when trucks are new, I spend a few days hitting paved trails and carving heavily on the board, even riding it backwards and carving more. I do this until the bushings break in.
Let us all take a moment of silence for all our brothers and sisters who are dealing with truck madness. We have reached page 100 and shown the world that it’s not easy, but we’re strong as one.

240 (down from 255)
Thunder 161 with mini logo medium bushings.

I skate everything but rails and stairs (unless the rail is flat and low and it’s 3 stairs or less)

bone stock ass indy bushings, i learned to like them and its one less thing to buy/think about.

for the sake of adding to this thread, i have compared the size of brand new stage 11 indy bushings (not aftermarket) and brand new bones bushings with their respective typical washer configs. and as far as i could tell, the height of bones is near identical to indy's at the center of the bushing, that is the part closest to the hole intended to wrap around the kingpin; but the outer part of the bones bushings was significantly shorter than indys. basically the bones taper shorter to the outside where they contact the hanger, whereas the indys are flat throughout the contact points.

this plus the fact that they are conical are why they feel so different in indy trucks, not improper height.

180ish. Thunder 151 lights. Stock top with washer, Indy 88 conical bottom without washer.
Ledges, curbs, walls, flat and occasionally  transition in the form of diy.
Love Thunders, but need a little more give.

140 lbs, indy 149s.
stock bushings
mainly skate curbs, ledges, banks, and hills, sometimes I'll hit up a park.

also have a slappy board with indy 159 forged hollows on it with stock purple venture bushings. they feel about the same, maybe a little tiny bit firmer, the stock orange bushings that came with them blew out, the purple bushings look cool in indys.

195lbs. Stock Ace or stock Thunder. Nut flush.   Skate low impact street, curbs, banks, flat etc. And a good amount of concrete parks. I like tight fucked up transitions and round wall.

200lbs, Thunder 148 teams with stock upper bushings and Krux barrel bushings on the bottom. Kills the twitchiness and wheelbite Thunders are known for. I ride them medium/medium-loose and they feel like a lighter, turnier Venture. I also have stock 5.6’s on another set up but don’t use it as much.

I skate mainly manny pads, ledges, flat and banks. Low impact, old man stuff.

175/180lbs, 88a or softer in everything (except Thunders, because non-industry stupid height bottom bushings).

Prefer conicals in everything but Venture and Indy.

Bones/Deluxe Bait and Tackle/Indy Aftermarkets/ACE (low tops reg bottoms); bones washers on top and bottom of all conicals, sleeved flat washers for barrels.
