Shoe suggestion

Any suggestions for a high top skate shoe? I’ve been wearing the Berle pro and it’s great but I was looking for some ankle support/protection

Chuck Taylor high tops. Once you get used to the flick they are great.
Or the adidas matchcourt highs. They r great too

I can say, if you can and I kno it's stupid dumb, dunk highs. But ima cupsole guy, but in my youth sk8 hi worked well with insoles but they have pro versions now... I also ran emerica mids with much delight. So I guess it's about vulc or cups.
Whoa. Danger.

I wore Vans Sk8-Hi for about 30 years. This weekend I picked up a pair of the Sk8-Mid Pro and I wish I would have switched when they came out.
Great ankle support, but still low enough that you can untie and slide right off without loosening all of the laces.

Also, they have a wider toe-box than any other Vans I have ever worn. My toes are not squished together and I feel way more stable on my board.
