Apologies if thread exists, couldn't see one.

What do you think about this shoe? First emerica shoe I've seen in years and years that I actually like and would buy. I've found emerica so stale for so long. These look good, bit different. They look appealing to me, nice details. However I'm in my early thirties so I guess I'm old.

What do you think of them?

I will be emerica fanboy till i die, i like the shoe. Reminds me of older models, which i also like. Ollie pad is too low for me however.

I'm glad Emerica is switching things up but the rectangular ollie guards turn me off the Pillar. Just looks odd.

Love the ventilated collar, though. Instantly elevates it to something else.

Yeah I like them, wouldn't mind rocking the yellow ones. I could happily just wear the Reynolds / Lows for the rest of my life. There's enough colourways to keep me happy

I like that it is a vulc but with that dessert grip. Same pattern on the figgy dose and that shit is grippy and stable.

A fucking beautiful shoe. Skates great, heel lock is solid, vamp on the side is rad.

The ollie guard was pretty much peeling off after a couple of sessions, and the sole near the heel was starting to separate after a week. I mean it skates great and its super comfortable, just be prepared to shoe goo the hell out of it

Got a pair and wore them around a bit this weekend, definitely will reiterate what others have said, I wish it was a cupsole.

Maybe Emerica could tool up a Figgy Dose mid with the Pillar's collar.... call it the Figgy Dose.5 or some shit.

Coming from an Emerica fanboy... I was honestly kinda of let down on the quality.
The suede feels pretty thin, especially for the toebox, I could see it busting through quickly with flip tricks.
The vulc seems to be not very well done, you know when it is cut kind of wavy, it makes the heel on one side feel wonky.

The issues with the vulc would be resolved if it was a cupsole. Hint hint Emerica TM.

I have a pair of the black ones and i find them really comfortable. Has a similar silhouette to the original Hsu, which i like because i'm not a fan of super hi-profile mid-tops. I've only skated them for a week or so now and they feel solid so far

Different model but those were the same issues I was having.
