This is obviously pure speculation, but if he's back on, I'd honestly wonder if there wasn't some licensing issue with the Muska Skateboards silhouette run. Would be shocked if Shorty's doesn't own the artwork and maybe he's getting back on Shorty's so he doesn't get sued and have to give up all the dough he made off that run of boards. Having Muska back on would then allow Shorty's to do all future runs and give him the standard legacy pro cut after they take theirs.
Best case: Shorty's Reborn, back on credibility after a space as a zombie reissue brand while raising their profile and some funding for a thoughtful relaunch with a proper team, bridging past and future.
