Anyone here have to wear a neck brace, either due to skateboarding or not?

Closest I've come is wearing one of those cloth ones with the foam inside that you just wrap around your neck with velcro (like Bill Murray wears in "Wild Things").



For some reason, I used to get a lot of sore necks in jr high school (maybe growing pains?) and remember being sent to school with one of those on numerous occasions.

I knew a guy who flipped his jeep as a teenager and he was in a heavy duty neck brace -- the metal kind where it, like, screws into your head -- for quite a while. It looked very uncomfortable and he said them screwing the shit into his head shortly after the injury was one of the most painful things he had ever experienced. Thankfully, the accident happened when he was young so I think he made a full recovery.

I had that shirt too. I once saw Cherry Hsu and Leo Romero while wearing said shirt. Jerry looked dumbfounded looking at me and it made feel nice.

For years I wanted to cut out the graphic and sew it on a sweatshirt, but my ambitions are greater than my skills.

It’s either a medium or a large. I recall it being a thinner material and tearing a bit around the neck, which is why I stopped wearing it. I’ll figure out how to post some pics.

Honestly, love Jerry and skateboarding for this joke and trip down memory lane.
