Nice! Haven't shot tri-x in years, because Ilford is 20-30% cheaper. Which 28mm do you use? the ultron?

Yeah, it's the Ultron F2.  It's a great lens.
I've shot tri-x 400 for so long it's hard to switch it up.

I haven't been shooting much over the past year, but an absolutely unreal spot popped up in downtown Vancouver - right smack in the middle of the epicenter of 90's street skating in the city, Bentall Center - so I went down there yesterday with Tony Ferguson to try and get a quick snap before inevitably getting kicked out. We had gone a couple weeks ago with filming a clip in mind instead, but got the boot before he could do more than a warm up size version of the same trick from the photo. Once we looked at the footage we figured it would be more of a photo spot. Really glad we went back. Love how this turned out.

Big ol thick Jordan's and a flat ass Palace deck he could barely skate. Legend.

Nothing fancy, just my old Canon T3i and the Rokinon/Bower 8mm fisheye. I never invested in a better DSLR because my priorities were focussed on saving money to spend part of each winter in California/Arizona, and this little cam does the trick amazingly well for the price. I've got a couple film set ups that I've been shooting on for decades but the T3i is the quick and easy digital set up. I'll eventually upgrade, I just haven't been shooting digital enough recently to justify it at this point.

Jesus Christ, that Tony Ferguson shot is fire!

Finally said yes to a digital camera and I could not be more happy. X pro3 with a 56mm f1.2 and a 8mm samyang. I need to work on my flash game and whatnot, but it‘s very fun and rewarding so far.

More T-Ferg. Beginning of a record breaking heat wave here in Vancouver. Little hint as to what we're working on in the second pic.  ;)

Question for y’all:

Can this lens be used on a (not video) camera?

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/673936-REG/Opteka_OPTSC37FE_37mm_0_3X_HD_Ultra.html

If not, anyone have recommendations for a good fisheye lens with a 37mm thread mount?

Lenses for still cameras work differently than video camera lenses. Most importantly, they don’t screw on. Best you can do is screw one on over a prime lens and get shit quality pics.

I have a modified Polaroid sx-70 with a shutter speed of 1/2000 and this adapter was just released so I’d like a good fisheye for it, if such a thing exists.

Ahhhhhh yes, then you need the "video" fisheye. Never seen someone do that, but sounds like a great idea.

Cool, I’ll give it a shot; though homie posting above said pictures will look like shit because still/video lenses function differently? :(

I did not expect someone to be shooting on a Polaroid though, whole different ballgame. A video lens would work better in that case. Polaroids don’t shoot high quality anyway so if it will focus through the lens you should be able to get some lo-res shots. Be stoked to see what you come up with!

Lens does not work sadly, blurry through the viewfinder. Oh well. I’ll find something suitable in the meantime and post pics after.

Yup, yup! The Ultron F2. By the way, what camera do you guys use? I want to buy a new one, and I've gotta choose from these three options: the Canon Vixia R800, the AKASO Brave 7, and the GoPro Hero 9. Obviously, I would love to buy the GoPro, but man, it's 400 bucks! So, my question is as follows: is it worth the money? Also, I've got another question. A guy in my city is opening a small business, and he's gonna sell skateboards. He asked me to take some pictures of his products, and I have to edit them. Do you maybe know a good product photo editing app? Something like https://photorelive.com/services/product-photo-editing. Thanks!
