Polar Grip
« on: September 22, 2020, 12:18:50 PM »
Polar grip is all my local has.

I usually skate MOB or at a push Jessup Ultra.

I can't stand normal Jessup. Not grippy enough. Anyone have experience with Polar ? How does it compare with the rest?

Tomo charges $20 and it's doing pretty successful as far as I can tell.

Maybe the skate industry needs to market expensive griptape instead of pro decks  ???

The thing with Tomo/Reign Corp and similar entities, is that most are all-over prints (Burberry plaid for example) so you can easily cut it up and make it stretch onto to 5+ boards.

Shit like Polar grip just has a small logo painted above the bottom bolts, so that whole $16 is being spent on one board’s grip.

So is your local asking 15 bucks for the griptape when someone buy a board ?
That seems totally crazy.

PARADOX grip

Is your little twinkle twinkle little star grip made from ground up celestially charged crystals that harness your qi for maximum pop and align your chakras with the bolts to make you land more tricks? Didn't think so.

Why don't you ask your local for a piece of griptape ?

I don't get it...

Its a bit cheeky to go in with a board you purchased elsewhere and then ask for a cut off the free griptape roll.

Do you not get that?

By asking I meant paying for, obviously.
