Sorry I’m late to the party
5’8-5’10 on a good day
150lb
Shoe size 9
And I ride a 7.75
Went back to small decks some months ago cause my legs and time just isn’t what it use to be
The board is so much lighter and easier to flip, especially with 7.75 trucks
It all came to me as I experimented with an 8(my usual size for a good min) and had 7.75 trucks on it(thunder 145 hi) and man it was a hot setup, I can tre first try and pop solid ollies and kick flips like I use to
Took it down a notch if that’s correct and got my 7.8 alien workshop and never looked back to ever going past an 8
Currently my hot setup is toy machine 7.88 I think it said with a pretty accurate feeling 14” wheelbase and 31.6 length I think with some thunder lights 145 hi
The curiosity that really sparked it all was remembering how fun it was riding my zip zinger with those Indy 109 and how easy it was to turn and pop my tricks on such a small board, it was fun
I still skate the same things I’ve always skated just on a smaller scale now
I’ll throw my self off a small set of stairs or gap, try a ledge, manual a pad and some of the classic street stuff but just not as daring and nimble like the days when fully flared was being hyped up, battle at the berrics just became a thing and blew our minds waiting every week to see our favorite pros battle it out to see who’s a better skater based off a flat ground game of horse, deck technology was all the rage, bones Stf were the old f4, adio c1rca and Supra were still alive, almost round 3 was the best skate video, everyone had a signature trick
Anyways it’s full circle, started skating with a 7.8 back to a 7.8 and I’m not turning back to anything bigger than an 8, too tired and getting old
