Had no idea he was going through that.  I was shocked and so bummed to hear this.  Love his east coast powerhouse style.

I instantly became a fan once I saw this ollie in his Skate More part.

There was no wire. Clark's planet needed him.

I thought this was about the company going under at first, and I was pretty bummed, but this is so much worse. Fucking heavy loss. Truly a pioneer of style and power.

RIP to a legend. A favourite from the beginning.

On a side note, Brain cancer is supposedly super rare but I feel like I'm hearing about a lot of people having it lately. Crazy.

I lost an old skate buddy from high school earlier this week.
Been a shitty week.
Huf was amazing. I always loved his style. I always wanted to skate more like he did. We will all spend our weekends trying to shifty this shit out of our systems.

I'm sorry for your loss.
Huf's skating was some of the first to show me that tricks aren't everything - my high school friends used to always want to skip his Skate More part, but I didn't. His technique is absolutely timeless - so many classic parts are very visibly of the time they were filmed - ledge dancing in the late 2000's for example. Aside from the gear, Keith's parts could come out tomorrow and still be respected. Maybe half cab noseslide to back tail backside bigspin was in vouge for 3 years there, but a strong ollie will always be more memorable. Not only that, but he's one of the few skaters to hold their own on both coasts without either coast's footagew seeming like (to borrow a quote from Quartersnacks) the 'summer trip to SF/NYC' vibe. He made both of those cities his.
The fact that not one person has a bad thing to say about him (even his ex-wife, if you watch his Epicly Later'd) says a lot about him.
RIP HUF.

Has anyone else from NYC, a relatively flat place, learned to skate SF's hills the way he did?

I was trying to find the 360 flip lipslide on the Beneficial gap to ledge. Thought it was The Reason, but maybe I am wrong?

No, you were right. It's in the opening montage of The Reason (as well as his Reel to Real part) along with a great bigspin heelflip on a bank.

It’s some real boss shit to have brain cancer for 2.5 years and just quietly handle your business without making a big deal about it.

I was just thinking about his big ass backside flip on that metal bank the other day. Keith had such a powerful style and watching him in Skate More gave me such a different vibe in that video. I started to appreciate the speed and pop he had and how it translated to SF, NYC and several different places. Dude gave me a different outlook on skateboarding instead of all the tech and rail chomping skating I was into at the time. Rest in Peace.

Someone post the instagram vid that strobeck posted earlier. It's from Non-Fiction. That is the epitome of street skating, hands down.

RIP to a legend. Gone way too soon.
I was very lucky to have skated with him on many occasions. Saying he had the best push or Ollie is just talk until you’re skating with him.

RIP to the legend. HUF was easily one of best skateboarders to ever do it. Try and replicate that snap. You can’t. Period.
