Pop Secret question: can i balance out the extra weight with say, tensor mag trucks?

I can't answer that but I can tell you I'll be getting rid of my G069 pop secret deck soon.  The weight is felt big time in my ankles on flip tricks, and while it may be strengthening them it also hurts these old ankles.  It is an amazing deck other than that though.  The snap is ridiculous

Currently considering the GO 33 or 59, and wondered if anyone had skated them recently and if the kicks were mellow. Current deck is an old shop one with a 19 degree kick which is very nice.

Late answer, but i have secondary board with G033 Capps City series deck. I would say kicks are more like medium than mellow. Really like the shape though with Indys.

An even later answer, I got the GO33 deck and love it. It's actually mellower than the shop deck which I have deduced was an HLC mellow.

Just got the Malto G089 and it looks great! Seems like the main difference from the G052 is straight rails, slightly more blunted nose, and a more tapered tail. Dimensions between the G089 and G052 are the same though. Comparing them side by side, it looks extremely similar to April's 8.25" shape and dimensions.

So are the majority of crailtap boards made for venture/thunder? What boards do they sell that work with shorter wheelbase trucks like Indy or royals even? Asking for a friend

A lot of them do have shorter wheelbases but they still have a decent amount of boards with 14.25 and up. Four shapes with 14.25, three with 14.4375, one with 14.5, and two with 14.75.

I did skate like 6 (G052) decks around 2018-9 paired with classic Ace 44 and set up felt quite tuned imo.

Ok

my best experiences w/ ace classic 33s and 44s were with girl boards. G027 (i think), with the 44s was great.

i have had better luck not trying to match wb to trucks.

Anyone skating the new 8" twin tip?
Might be the next up after I burn through these 2 decks I got with the bundle.
8" with a 14"WB has been my shit for the last couple boards.
We rode 7.5's" and didn't complain.

And later still…I have a Capps and a Geering G033 and really love the shape with some Indy 149s. Very comfortable.

Bummed ... just got my box and this was the first time they didn't send the shapes I requested.  May not do it again.  Was looking for any of the twins but ended up with a G027 AND A G0008.  The 27 has a longer tail than nose ... does anyone else find that weird?

I think the g033 was one I was looking at but the short tail really put me off. You have to skate the 8.4 just to get. 14.25 wheelbase which is where the jist of my initial question came from. Everything really is 14 wb just like primitive I guess.

The G008 has 14.25” wheelbase and it’s 8” wide

Same thing happened to me. Will never order the mystery box again.

I avoid the boxes. Mostly cause I hate some of their graphics, and it’d make me not want to skate that deck. It’s dumb, but I don’t do slides so my graphics never get destroyed.

What do you expect it’s a mystery box…

They usually take shape requests. There’s an option when you order.

8" with a 14"WB has been my shit for the last couple boards.

On my second one, was skating Ishod 8.0 twin previously... definitely prefer the Crail shape/WB to the Ishod

Can't find it anywhere near me. I've been on the Geering 8" boards with 14" WB. Even if the graphics are horrid. I got the $100 bundle with 8.125 boards. I was scared to get anything over 14" WB so I ordered a shape that only has a 14" WB.

Yeah I am tight with the local owner, so anytime he puts in an order he asks if I need anything specifically... I also tend to order 5-6 decks at a time, that way I am not having to search everywhere for a shape I want.

Lemme know if you want one, he has one in stock and can ship...

I expected to get the shapes I requested as I had in every other crail mystery box I've ever ordered.  This is the first time they didn't

They should make an AWS kind of shape. FA , Proto. Something like this. More concave.

I love the wood, but the go27 was too mellow for me
