This thread seems like it comes up a lot and honestly this is the first thing that always pops into my head. The first watch through when I watched it I was flabbergasted.

I think the only redeeming part of Extremely Sorry's soundtrack is the Lance part with MoFo doing a The Damned cover.

Just yesterday I talked about Mindfield and how much Arto's part rules but that song is so damn annoyingly bad.

Who would’ve guessed that slapping a random psych rock track over every video part for 8 years would get old.

Yeah I get royalties and all that, but they could make it work if they tried talking to up and coming artists who would love to have their music featured. It just comes off as lazy in my opinion.

Even if you don’t like Battles, it’s a song that fits AWS video aesthetic so well and the part is edited perfectly to it.

That song took years to grow on me but I quite like it now, I think it was just way out of left field at the time especially to conclude such an epic video

On the flipside, BA & Gino skating to DM completely saved that dumpster fire of a video.  Great skating throughout, but super cringey art direction.  That Nike video pretty much epitomizes the awkward/cringe of the skate industry in the mid-2000s.

The Muskabeatz era reminds me of that scene in Boogie Nights when they're in the recording studio recording that song from Transformers: The Movie. Dude was so good at one thing that he thought he could do anything.

The music in The Spitfire Video didn't age well.

Guy's song in Pretty Sweet was the absolute worst pick in any skate video ever made. Oddly enough, the Herbie Hancock song in Mouse was the best pick so I guess it evens out?
