Damn, don't know how I missed this thread. Big fan of graff in general, Ichabod is a legend. Love seeing flicks of his stuff on trains. Also awesome to see people mentioning legends thursday. I use to listen to that pod a lot, wish it was still active.

As far as my favs: MQ, Savie OTR, Sufer CA, Spain OS, Want 246, Mint 246, Remio, Crash OTR, Nemel Irak, ORFN... the list goes on, too many to name hahaha

really into classic funk lookin pieces over the last couple of years though.

We got corned on the tracks yesterday.

I had to drop mad shit. My friend got torn up on the fence at the only spot I know the cops will never find.

I was never amazing but I grew up doin it. Racking paint, sneaking around rooftops and train tracks at 4 am are some of my fav childhood memories. I’ll try to dig up some old pics or sketches.

Had to escape cops on the tracks yesterday. They actually walked down. I was shocked as hell. The cops never ever ever come on the tracks. I figured that because of Rona it would be the wild west down there.
Nope.

I see these two things off in the distance. Looks like two blobs. Then bling bling I see the badges.

I was like yo cops on the other side of the rocks by the station. Dude is like wut!!! I frickin told you we can't be down here in the day.

I was like about face. There's no frickin way they will follow us down the tracks.

We dug out our pockets and i dumped tons of stickers like really nice ones too and a streaker.
 My homie had like 3 streekers and a brand new kiwi he had just filled.
Thank the dark lord I did not but out the garvey.

I was told my bottle is like 75 bucks now!! That's crazy. I paid like 5 bucks for it at building 19 in like 2002-5?

 My homie was too big to fit through the hole in the sucide prevention curl on the top of the bridge.  I had to break the tree.

Yeah there was definitely a few posts on the last page that wont show up, I can only see them in the topic summary when i go to make a new post. Been going out quite a bit lately, pretty much the wild west where im at rn. Winters coming too, streets are gonna be dead after 7 here in a couple months

Found some old photos when I logged into my Apple cloud or whatever.
Figured I’d share them with y’all.

This was my original freight stamp. It done in the year 2003 or so with jokes slf blt.
It was the first time I picked all the paint to try and do matching pieces. It ran for over 10 years. The jokes got capped by jigalo eventually.

 I Haven’t seen any new photos of this so I assume it’s gone. This was benched somewhere out west I’m pretty sure.

This is the last illegal piece I ever painted I think.
I took this kid I was schooling to this spot. He wrote Chet. Was just another kid trying to look like me.  Was in the rain and I went back to touch it up and flick the next morning.
I have no idea why but Chet went back a 3rd time with Wrong and someone else
Chet went over it. He thought it was ok but it definitely wasn’t. I told him he owed me paint but I never saw the kook again.

I quit right after. I was tired of the bullshit.

I only enjoyed painting with Halt Waves eror anyway.

I wasn’t trying very hard anymore.

I found a ton of photos and mag from the 80s and 90s. Maybe I’ll flick them before I sell them if I’m definitely selling all my mags so I can get a new guitar. I desperately need a new guitar

Didn’t know about this thread pretty hyped to stumble across it. Not going to say what I write, but I’ve been on and off for around 12 years or so. I always knew that if I had a bad injury skating that graff would probably be my plan b going forward.
I will say in 2019 I went through the tragic loss of my pops unexpectedly, tried to do CPR but there was no hope at that point. I was under the impression he was having a heart attack but it was a brain aneurism. It put a huge scar on me and totally changed the person I am.
Since then I’ve been way more indulged in writing than skating as it’s been the only thing that would keep my mind off of what I experienced and seen. I definitely have some PTSD going on and writing has been a great escape from the madness that goes on in my brain.

I’ve been blessed with unexpected longevity and a moderate amount of respect with my earlier Freights.

This is the 6th car that’s been confirmed since Covid started that’s around 20 years old.

It makes me feel good to be honest. My graff runs have been 90% beef and 10% fun. I got ratted on by writers that still paint today and are in big crews. Every single crew I’ve been in kicked me out because I was unable to stop fighting back against tag banging suburban wanksters. It got to the point of deadly force 3x. Luckily it’s almost impossible to hurt me physically but the scars of having to defend your life multiple times never go away I think.

I have always hated violence. I have always avoided it until it was impossible.

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to separate graff with violence.

I wish my 2007-2013 cars would re-emerge

My writing days are long gone, but the memories last forever.

I definitely was a toy at first, scribbling on everything. Eventually reached the point of heavens, water towers, sketchy rooftops. Nothing like the rush of it all.

It's cool to see 12oz still running. Bummer Puregraffiti is no longer around.

All the time spent at the train tracks was magical and still is. The forgotten lands, not spoiled by capitalism (other then being an avenue to transport goods).

I got into writing after being really deep in the local skate scene. Skateboarding had kinda reached the point where people were getting legit sponsors / going pro and sessions felt more like work then play. Nothing wrong with that, I just got bored of spending hours upon hours at the same rail, gap, or ledge.

Going out with a crew who just wanted to explore abandoned property, hop freight trains, crawl through tunnels, etc. felt like continuing on the path as to why I originally started skateboarding.

The age ole advice still comes into play if encountering law enforcement, deny everything. There was a kid who got caught in the act and snitched on a lot of people in my hometown including me. Afterwards, he nearly died jumping off a moving freight train.
