Clearly 60p is much smoother and how it was intended to be seen. However after a while i've noticed that if I look at 60p content for too long, things start looking out of sync for me. It's almost as if my brain is confused and is trying to correct something that isn't there, so I have to go off and watch some cartoons or something just to adjust my brain. Sounds fucked and it probably is but that's just me!

30 is better. Hate it when some videos are only 60fps when you try make it HD on youtube, would rather watch in 480p in that case. 60 just feels like you're watching a sports replay or a skate 3 montage.

30p. There's a reason most films are still made at 24fps. Also, this is definitely personal preference, but I think skateboarding looks a lot faster and more dynamic at 30p vs 60p.

24fps / 25 fps / 30fps are for fake content (movies, superheroes,...)
50 fps / 60fps is for real content, specially for actionsports (i.e. need more fps to see board flip)

An intermediate solution is make record all movie to 60fps, make a slowmotion edition for all flips and fast movements, and export to 24fps or 30fps. This is done to make a Skate Video look like a superheroes movie.

In my opinion, you don't need to fake people about skateboarding, skateboarding is real, must be 60fps. But, of course, every editor have freedom to make his choice: Look like a movie or watch the tricks and movement better.

as long as its not 24 fps, when theres like 2 frames of a board flipping in a trick it ruins it for me

if it wasnt ishod this shit would be unwatchable for me

24 fps has a nostalgic dream like quality to it and thats why movies are mostly filmed in that frame rate. It's a layer of fog that adds to the "not quite real" element of the moving image. I think for skating, anything could work as long as the filmer and editor have a vision and are aware of the effects of the methods they are using.

When youtube started getting popular and I could watch all the vids I had lost or whatever it was great to see them, but the 480 30fps made it almost look like film. I love old footage thats uploaded 720 60p because it looks like when videos were on VHS or early DVD's. So smooth and clear. I can't imagine many people liking that 30 to 60 Yeah Right. I find it surprising anyone would prefer 480. Just my old ass opinion, clearer vids have that VHS crispness

I agree, I prefer standard def 60i videos played back at 60fps (like all of the videos on Skate Video Vault) but I would much rather watch HD footage in 30fps.

there's something weirdly jarring about any footage in 60fps whether that's VX or HD, but holy shit that Ishod part in 24 was BAD

I think 60fps looks awful.
