Deserves so much better than Almost, but at least he's making Dwindle money. Love the music, too.

Also, that switch 360 flip over the water made me anxious as fuck.

Agreed.

Was gonna mention the one over the rail, but then he dropped that perfection at the end.

I bet it’s a nice little mindfuck landing on something bobbing up and down in the water like that.  The line where he shoo’ed the dude of was really impressive too.

Personally, I thought the song was fucking stupid, but to each their own.

I get the impression Max doesn't have to work very hard at skateboarding. I've never seen him skate other than these edits, though. But some skaters look like they are killing themselves for these tricks, like a Pedro Delfino, and it just seems like Max is cruising.

Maybe this 'gimmick' part from last year is why I think this:

Still waiting for a big part from this guy....filmed in HD.

So much talent and probably more than Puig.   Where's that US plane ticket dwindle?

Still rate this

he gives off the vibe that he doesnt care much for the us and who can blame him? he can skate every day in bcn with an abundance of spots without getting bothered much with traffic, cops, security and so on

Always thought of him as the European Wes Kremer.
Is there any money in skateboarding film anymore?
I dunno about money, but the fun is boomin.

No way he has more talent than Puig but he does have that same vibe of able to do basically whatever he wants.

I back this.

Skating unknown spots in Barcelona is definitely part of his appeal. What a waste it would be to drop him in in LA spots... He does not belong there. A friend of mine told me he's a maniac when it comes to go on search missions for spots. He has pretty much all BCN mapped out with the spots pinpointed.

So funny to remember the little grom that he was. Back then, we use to see him as the French Sheckler... A bit of hate, a bit of jealousy. He turned into such an interesting skateboarder now.

Pretty cool that he first drops a tech part on an 80s board, then goes and does a mostly basic, ollie-based part on a regular one.

Did I say LA? did I say picnic tables?

I think it would be better for him to test himself against all the US spots and European spots than sticking to a Local video.

Its the next stage on a pros career to film all over the world, starting with the US, if you want to go to the next tier.  That's the system.

I mean he's on Almost which is making him disposable already.

He actually already did it back when he was on Cliché...

I don't think that's the system anymore. People stay relevant by keeping their flavour and nurturing that local and unique thing they have going on... That's why moving to the US (or even the mandatory 3 months stay in the US) is no longer necessary for Euro skateboaders. I would even say it's ill advised, unless you want to fall into oblivion or have a very very special think going on.

A local endeavour like Gronze gets him way more recognition than the exposure he gets through Almost... which is just the Euro branch of Dwindle at that point (plus some random additions)

That Gronze edit did him some good, but it doesn't come off as a local edit when you have Kevin Bradley in the van.

Maybe we're both wrong, all you need is hang out with the right riders (Supreme, FA, etc) on an edit and that's the way in.

I'm sure being in the van helps your career,  not staying local.
