Introducing me to new music is one of my favorite aspects of skateboarding. I discovered Dinosaur jr, The Cocteau Twins, Jurassic 5, Souls of Mischief, My Bloody Valentine, Placebo, Pulp, Interpol, Primus, Cymande and so many others. It also led to my appreciation of jazz. Skateboarding doesn't owe me shit but I owe it so much.

I found out about that gabriel tune on that video too, and the PM dawn tune on chewys part too. They did a good job, the music was fitting for the video

Other than rap music and classic rock, pretty much everything I listen to was first heard in a skate video. If I met someone who I knew skated I would never discuss music because of how apparent my musical choices would be.

Just to name a few:

-Black Flag
-Black Sabbath
-Misfits
-Joy Division
-The Stooges
-The Ramones
-Beach Fossils
-Thee Ohh Sees(Sp?)
-Even Ariel Pink songs are great from Krooked Naughty

You never heard this shit on MTV or the Radio. Also, I like picturing the tricks as I listen to the music.

I used to even tape the video soundtracks and listen to it in the car.

Y Contol, Kenny Anderson Hot Chocolate. I loved that shit, saw that band a bunch after, now they suck dick.

Actually I'll probably have to say Under Pressure by Queen/Bowie in The End for Heath and Jeremy. I got the video like a year after it came out and have been a big David Bowie fan since, one of my favorites although he has a lot of garbage. I heard David Bowie when I was young but skate videos got me more into him. I can say that one, Rock and Roll Suicide in Sorry, and Modern Love/Let's Dance in Yeah Right. I always thought they used lets Dance but I think Modern Love is there too.
