Low top, black upper, white sole, and a clean toe. Don't like having toe caps or anything on my shoe. Some padding around the collar. Usually skate vulc, but wondering how cupsoles hold up.
Basically a Vans Era

Cupsoles mostly. Huge fan of dunk/air Jordan shoes and all the copycat versions many brands have done over the years. I'm not usually big on one piece long toes, since they all look boring/too pointy to me. Anything that looks similar to the Marana or HalfCab

Looks of cupsoles, the feel of vulcs.

Wore the Vans Era Pro and while feeling incredibly thin had an amazing flick, and that's technically a cupsole right?

Simple colors - black with a gum sole, I'm boring like that.

Puffy shoes that are not mostly black.
Some black is okay but these days I really prefer white or blue or red or purple.
Gum sole is my favorite.

Cupsole mid or hi with that isn’t too stiff where you can’t feel your board. I like the the look and feel of a pointier toe too. My kickflips work better in them then with a rounded toe

My broken ass ankles demand cupsole.
I really like the LOOK of the Adidas Busenitz vulc, but it sends searing pain to my heels and through my ankles.
If that was a cupsole, I would probably only wear those.

This.
Busenitz vulc 2 looks so good but that sole is a sacrifice. Imagine that with a cupsole.

The irony is that the original cup busenitz destroyed my ankles due to how narrow the instep of it was.

The Vans Chukka is the perfect shoe silhouette of all time, but I always prefer mid- or high-top vulcanized shoes.

I love an all-black shoe, but if not I usually end up with some weird color like burnt orange or mustard yellow that reminds me of the early/mid 90s. Full gum wrap/outsole on tonal suede or canvas always looks amazing to me in just about any color.

Mostly slim vulcs that hurt my feet to even look at. Blazer Mid, One Star, Jack Purcell Mid, Half Cab (only the classic, not the Pro), Huf Dylan Slip. I mostly prefer white or black shoes, but I can do colours if they're not too loud (olive, brown, navy, etc.). The green Last Resorts are nice, and the Vans Crocketts always seem to come in tasteful colours.

I've never bought white shoes in my life and probably never will. I'm all about the thinnish cupsoles and thiccish vulcs you know what I mean. Don't put any seams in high risk areas, don't be a dummy, etc.

High top cups, mids work too, but daddy needs the illusion of ankle protection and cups just make my feet happy. So pretty much dunks but fuck me right.
Whoa. Danger.

Sporty but not over the top ugly technical, Busenitz, Suciu's, Blazers, lots of the recent NB# looks good but haven't fucked with it yet.

No crazy colors but also never grey shoes, I fucking hate the way grey shoes look.

I hate to say it for multiple reasons, but that shoe was amazing, they just only had obnoxious color ways.

Also black upper, white sole is the go to

Black with white or White with black. I prefer cupsoles for skating and vulcs for chilling. If the shoes are predominately white they get black laces, and black shoes get white laces. Now if you throw in gum soles my pp gets all excited, and my wallet gets lighter.

Black Suede w/ minimal paneling + white foxing tape + gum sole

Basically the first Chima pro model from Vans for the last 5 years + a few similar exceptions

My ideal shoe has a flimsy hi top construction, tonal outsole and full grain leather upper. The smoother the leather the better. Cupsole or vulc doesn't really matter as i use my own insoles for overall fit and feel.

Also minimal branding is a must.

Although nowadays I've been in to skating canvas shoes. They are nice in the summertime.
