exporting hi8
« on: October 29, 2020, 11:07:42 AM »
hello everyone, I've been filming with an old Sony ccd-tr93 handycam for the last several months and the footage looks great after uploading and in the editing software I use but I'm struggling with exporting where it keeps it's quality. Things start to look shitty. I've tried a couple different exporting options and anything I choose feels like it looks considerably shittier after exporting than it does in the editing program (powerdirector.)

any and all advice would be incredibly appreciated, just want to get as much out of this camera and footage as possible because I love shooting with it so much. thank you

I don't have any experience with Powerdirector, but try to export the file as an H.264 mp4 file, and if possible, upscale it to 1440 x 1080.
