Richest and Poorest Pros
« on: November 06, 2020, 01:11:05 PM »
Who are the richest pro skaters in the world?

Besides the obvious ones:
Tony Hawk
Nyjah
Rob Dyrdek
Justin Bieber
PRod

Poorest pros might be too many to name, but who comes to mind?

Tony Hawk and Andy Roy.
there is the soul of Andrew Reynolds in every emerica shoe. you just have to pull on the right shoe lace and hold your ear into it. you can hear his voice saying "thank you cowboy! lets go for a ride!" just try it.

I remember Ben Rayborne (when he was still on the map) asking on Instagram if anyone had a used iPhone 4S they could sell him, and I realized that being a top shelf pro skater sponsored by some of the biggest brands in the industry still meant you had to ask random people on the internet for a hookup on a used cell phone

Koston is pretty wealthy. Hasn't Curren Capples just been wealthy his whole life?

Poorest pros got to be anyone under Tum Yeto without a shoe sponsor. Anybody on Pizza. Dude...is that even a brand still?

Indeed.  He was pro for Sims, street and freestyle, and of course his SMA World Industries Rocco division boards sold well, and of course he made some money with the flame boy

Frugality and wealth are not even close to mutually exclusive.
Are people here really this clueless about money and wealth?
I remember my grandfather Fixing golf tees that were broken.  I will say the sheer amount of the inheritance caused two of his kids to lose their shit in a way i have only seen in movies or tv.  Seriously, if it was a clean break he took them home, little glue and wrap a string around.  And not just his, any that were cracked the long way but complete that he saw he would pocket.

I wouldn’t buy the newest iPhone ever.  Why would I spend the equivalent of 10%ish percent of my rainy day fund on a phone.

Who has “fuck you” money?
If they have been wise financially, should be Rocco, Mullen, the birdman, nyjah, sheckler, spike jones, dyrdek.  That’s probably about it.
Founders of supreme maybe. Maybe janoski.
Bam should, but depends on how his money was handled.

Does this mean you're putting Ben Rayborne on the richer side of the list?

And I try to reuse my golf tees as much as possible.  But glue and tape is next level.  Respect.
