I love how dedicated he is to flatground and how consistent he must be to throw so many into the middle of his lines. They're like mini panic moments that add to the fun and drama.

I agree. If you're not doin flatground in lines that line is bunk

Love the details being posted (wedding ring, mystery board), keep them coming!
This one feels a little more obvious in retrospect but I just realized the video is 100% filmed in daylight

That was such a delight. He has such an original approach that's tasteful and fun to watch, not to mention at spots most would deem unskateable.

Never forget that Emerica cool guy'd the fuck outta him at one point. Now look at him.

Glad europeans don´t have to kiss that much ass/move to the states etc. anymore. Somewhere in a parallel-universe there is a emerica stoner-rock dude with a dirty ringer-shirt named Tom Knox. The homies crack open PBRs over his long creative lines and spot approach.

He probably went home to have dinner with his kids. His wholesome vibes make it all the cooler.

It's so much more easy to get away with daytime skating in Europe, not really worth it to film at night. I mean, even if you get busted, cops are rarely involved. Also what Tenterhooks says, night sessions don't go well with a tight family schedule. ;)

This is pure gold! This is immediately added to the little list in my memory, which states how creative skating should look!

...sidenote - I was watching it first on my tv, and then my girlfriend suddenly asked if "all those skaters ever skate anything new" - All I could say is that she was literally looking at one of the masters at finding skateable stuff!

The combo of Tom Knox on the board and Jacob Harris behind the camera is one of two absolute geniuses you can tell really know how to work with each other, holy shit. I laughed in disbelief and replayed so many clips in this several times. Part ticks all the right boxes to be considered the 2020 equivalent of a Ricky in EE3 or PJ in WHL to me, avant-garde approach, good taste and flawless execution on both sides of the lens. I also feel like there's a lot of authenticity behind the general direction that's bound to fly over most people's heads including my own but can still be felt regardless of all the Thrasher and NB branding you could think of because the duo is just that good.

All this.

Magnificent skating, filming and music. This is one of the best parts of all time, without a shadow of a doubt.

What struck me in particular on the second viewing is how you really can't tell if he planned some of those last second maneuvers or is improvising, like the fs board to fakie on the brick ledge after the bs 360 down the stairs and the sw manual across the street.

In any case I've never seen anyone do anything like this on this level, it's like Video Days Gonz with Suciu level tech skills on the crustiest and most well-chosen spots imaginable.

And all this.

SOTY is not even relevant to this. This is genuinely creative, new, unseen and unbelievable. It’s modern but timeless. I totally get the evocations of Video Days Gonz, Suciu, PJ WHL and Ricky in EE3. And that’s the company it should be in, not Jamie Foy, Daveed, Milton, Leo etc.
SOTY is beneath this part, this skating.

A list of some easters eggs included in this gem. Now, I kinda want to look for the other ones Jacob Harris is talking about. It's been a while since I've watched a part multiple times every day since it's out. I showed it tho my girlfriend, and we end up watching like 4,5 different Atlantic drift edit and listening to the songs used during the rest of the evening

Would be nice for them to release all his AD stuff in a single part.

This is beautiful

Quote
Felt compelled to explain the significance of these clips. Whilst me and Tom were filming this first line everybody else who was there had already found out that Ben had died, but they decided not to tell us until we were finished. So as Tom rolls away from the switch tre flip, those few seconds of video were the last seconds of our lives before we found out that our friend was gone and our insides were all kicked out. It seems like a rare thing to have such a precise record of a moment in which your emotional landscape is changed forever. We went back on Ben’s anniversary and filmed the second clip as our our way of marking it because we didn’t know what else to do really. That’s why we have the shot of the photo of Ben at Grosvenor Sq, that many of you will have seen is always on my coffee table. Love you Ben and love you @t0mkn0x ❤️ A day like that never again please

That's truly heartbreaking and ridiculously beautiful at the same time.

What a heavy burden also, for those who knew and decided to wait to tell.

Love to all.

9.08 - sample from the Nina Simone track used in his Vase part.

He's also pushing down the same street as that moment in Vase

I thought he skated to eurythmics

He did for the first part of it, then it switched to a Nina Simone cover of I Shall Be Released.

They must have clipped that part when they put it on Thrasher.  It took me a while to get Vase so I just watched the Thrasher part
