I feel like it would be weird if mason didn't win, But I think the other main dudes would be alexis ramirez, frankie villani, miles, and obviously louie. Pedro had a gnarly part but its just one part, same with Kirby, same with elijah.

Although I feel like people are so hung up on the dylan cosplay thing with elijah's part that they're acting like the skating wasn't insane.

It's interesting that Thrasher hasn't even introduced their SOTY shortlist yet, when typically, at least the last few years, it was posted by mid-late November. Last year it was on the 22nd. This perhaps shows the corporate influence over SOTY. Is Thrasher waiting for something to drop before producing the list? If so, it begs the question: who the fuck are we waiting on footage from, and why have they not just given it to Mason already?

I should mention that I always thought it was weird that they did the polling so early. Why not wait until the new year? I realize that it's likely due to publishing dates, but it's still kind of strange.

People have won with single parts before, AVE, Tyshawn. Though nothing really beats Mason consistency this year, not so many mind boggling tricks in one part to compete with that.

When was the last time someone was this clearly going to win SOTY? It seems like the past couple of years have all been stiff competition with Tiago, Suciu, Louie, Foy, Tyshawn, Milton etc seemingly all just as worthy. I can't remember the last time someone was this clearly ahead of the pack.
