Interesting. While I love the Tom Knox part, it is neither as groundbreaking as Gonz in Video Days nor does it show an approach that is progressive on all terrain. I would say the modern day peak Gonz is closer to maybe Rowan? I don't know if I am doing this wrong but I like the thread idea.
Rowan is definitely a very good contemporary analogue to Gonz, he has a similar loosiness in his style. Post a part!
Funnily enough given its "SOTY season", on rewatching the Gonz part I saw a lot of similarities to Mason Silva as well (alley-hoop fs 180 to sw bs 50s!). It's insane how closely that part prefigures so much of today's street skating in general.
