professional skateboarding is about being cool, not making money. Selling out in the real world gets you more money with almost no repercussions for the most part.  selling out in skateboarding could lose some of your cool guy points and maybe even your cool guys sponsors (Bob Burnquist essentially got kicked off antihero because he was getting too famous from the  X Games) or even get labeled a kook which is the death of a skateboarder's cool guy status.
But here we are in the days of a anti hero x supreme collab.

I think milking it is chill. It’s just skateboarding and if a legend can still get at least some pay based on what they did years ago, I’m down with that.

Frankly if someone's product is selling then I don't give a shit if they're milking it, in the influencer age it just seems pointless to worry about that to me. The legends have paid their dues and if the fanbase still wants to support them then let it happen.
