the photo is so much more exciting than the footage

i know everyone is saying it, but good lord you don't set up to do something that big without having it planned out. I seriously doubt it was an oops moment where they didnt have a camera in place on the second angle yet, especially since we see a bail in the part. would love to know how they fucked that up
[close]

It was a Thrasher cover. Safe to say it was planned out. I don’t understand it.

Yeah it’s weird to not shoot it like Rowleys first trick in Really Sorry.  I would have a static camera set up at the very least for safety

Just so incredibly powerful and gifted. I have watched this at least 10 times and it gets gnarlier every time.

Not at all comparing the two, just the way Mason skates reminds me a lot of Reese Forbes. The style, speed and pure power.

I didn't realise they used wood for the ender as well, didn't look too closely at the cover when it was first out, and the fact that there is no run up other than a very quick throw down is insane.

SOTY timed parts - enders in thrasher hoodzzzzzzzzzz. Fuck off!
also most unaware music choice ever . Should have skated to the star spangled banner and his last trick
is rolling into the marines sign up centre and throwing that fucking skateboard in the bin.

Man. I watched this shit like 10 times. So gnarly. So much to unpack and appreciate.

Dude. Super sick. Great spots. Super gnarly bag of tricks and selection. So much power. Style is so good. Holding it down for skateboarding. Congrats on the part. Came out so sick. It’s nice to see real have a great addition to the team. Part of me is hoping mason moves to sf and destroys the bay. Looks good In sf footy

Surprised some of y’all weren’t feeling the song. One of my favs. Then again mason would look good skating to most songs lol. 2hb on the same album Made me take sometime to revisit Reynolds in baker 3. I invite you to enjoy A revisit to a classic with me

Never understood front angles on big shit like this. Same thing with El toro, All The New footage is filmed pretty straight on and it doesn't look like anything to me. Speed and flight doesn't really translate and that's pretty much All that trick is

Name me one trick in that video that wasn’t done well at some spot that’s gnarly by Westgate. Just 1. He’s a normie man, a great normie at that, but a normie none the less. He’s literally west coast Westgate.

so westgate is the east coast powerhouse, that means mason is the west coast powerhouse, which makes him eastgate?

Because of this part, I started getting confused between Mason and Miles Silva... forgetting who's name is who, cause they're so damn similar.

Before this part, Mason was barely on my radar.

Gnarred for coming up with Eastgate but isn't Mike Maldonado the East coast powerhouse?

that has to be one of my favorite skate photos. brings me back to when I first looked at skate mags and had only done a few small ollies, being amazed at what is possible
