If you have weak/bad ankles I highly recommend the New Balance X-90, super supportive in the heel with a lot of cushioning. When I had rolled my ankles real bad that shoe helped me not feel the pain shoot up when I needed to walk around while recovering. Seriously one of the most comfortable shoes I own and don't look very "dad shoe" either.

Birkenstock Bostons and New Balance 997s have been my go to recently.

Does anyone have any recommendations for comfortable, affordable business casual shoes that don't look too swarthy? I've been trying to wear the Clae Bailey shoe for example, but the heel is digging into the back of my foot and it's really uncomfortable.

Around the house, I've been wearing Oofos slides - they're good, very soft and comfortable and have higher arch support.

Cole Haan used to be owned by Nike and they adopted the old lunarlon soles to their dress shoes, I haven't had a pair of these, but have had several Nike running shoes with the lunar soles and its super comfy. Might be interested in these:

Much appreciated, thank you! Prices are a bit steep, but maybe I can find them on sale.

It seems reebok is my go to for chillers
Found these Braindead collabs from last year for a good price.
Super light and comfortable.

Haven't worn the XT-6, but the ACS Pro is hands down the best shoe I've ever purchased. I've been wearing them for 7 months, and apart for some very light creasing, they still look as good as new. Even went out into a muddy forest trail where they got completely soaked, but they cleaned up real nice after giving them a simple wipe with some water and a piece of cloth.

All my favorites seem to get discontinued by the mfr...
Altras, especially the old Instinct 3.5
Sanuks, especially the old What a Tripper
Good old Birkenstock Milanos
For work I have a pair of Borns that are as comfy as sneakers.
Softstar Primal if you enjoy toe room.

Can anyone recommend something with a very wide toe box? I got these clearance pair of Etnies Scouts (cheapo foam chiller shoe) to wear with my insoles for plantar fasciitis, but I'm noticing that they are cramping my toes up. Most shoes do this, but I guess wearing them all the time is causing me problems.

I'd like something with good padding on the bottom and preferably with a vegan option (but not a huge deal if not, I prefer to get used leather than new vegan).

Altras mang. Their original shape last.
NB wides are wide everywhere EXCEPT the toe box, where they do that triangle taper thing. I made the mistake of buying their 4Es for work and may as well have set $100 on fire.
