my old basketball teacher used to always say "Lets Go!" enthusiastically after every sentence.

 "TIME FOR THE REGISTER, LETS GO!"

me and some mates used to always laugh about it, like its his catch phrase. i think its a very jocky/sporty thing to say.

i can imagine someone slapping ur arse after saying it.

When I first moved to Los Angeles, I was going to the same gym as actor Barry Newman, who played Kowalski (a Vietnam War hero-turned-pill-addicted driver for hire) in the seminal film "Vanishing Point."  The main thing I remember about this dude was that he would walk around the locker room, naked, yelling, "Let's go! Let's go! Let's go!" I think he had Tourette's syndrome.
