I find the older I get the more I appreciate Guy and the less I like listening to Ian.

My younger brother has gotten into hardcore and punk in the last year and Fugazi is one of his favorites. I got him the Soundtrack Album on vinyl for Christmas to show him how versatile they were!

I had a roommate in college who had pretty basic taste in rock bands, e.g., led zep, pink floyd, stones, etc., and he got really into Fugazi after Eddie Vedder praised them somewhere. He had the documentary where it shows the guitarist hanging upside down on a basketball hoop. Anyway, story time over.

Love this live version of Runaway Returns, the kids expression, the audience engagement.

But this is Guy at his all time best.

Pointless story. I remember a few months ago a girl I really like and I went to our local together as like a date thing. I spent most of the time there talking to some random dude about Fugazi and their live performances completely ignoring her. Needless to say im single as fuck.

Someone should post one of Ian’s 40 min pre-set rants about the dangers of moshing.

it must be crazy when chico sells you something and the tables switch from "give me my money chico" to "giving my money to chico"

Guy always had so much energy on stage. Along side a killer rhythm section and Ians chiming guitars, they were untouchable. Didn’t care to much for their later work when I was young but rediscovered it and loved it later in life. True legends

been back on a heavy fugazi/dischord kick lately and have just been putting on different fugazi live sets for background music

best overall album for me is still in on the kill taker. I randomly decided to burn it to cd in highschool and it was one of the only cd's in my car so it ended up just growing on me the most

My brain just transposed your question into "What you say?" in the Cookie Monster voice. Thanks for that laugh.

You forgot about Pailhead, another great Mackaye project. I'm a sucker for anything he puts out and fugazi is one of my favorite bands of all time so its great to see a appreciation thread about them.
