Navy Blue

Seems like there isn't a megathread for Sage Elsesser's hip-hop music, Navy Blue. Feels like he's just getting started but he actually has loads of music from the past couple of years.

Between 2017 and 2018 he put out 5 EPs/Albums on soundcloud:

Put out this full length earlier this year:

The newer releases seem more official and he's got work with Yasiin Bey, Preservation, Ka and Earl. Really good company.

It's chill enough. Nothing mind blowing, sounds a lot like Mike and Earl's newer stuff, but I'll take this over Nak's rapping 10 times out of 10. Probably already the best pro skater turned rapper.

ive really enjoyed his output
agree with ur best skater-rapper claim
he actually has a pretty viable future in this, significant amount of non-skaters really like his music

he might be the only skater musician that doesn’t actively benefit from his skate career. he’s kept both seemingly at arm’s length for a reason, and i think it’s a benefit. he’s not good for a skater. he’s legit.

I heard he was doing production for Mach Hommy too. Like I said, he's in really good company.
