Bubble Tea
« on: December 28, 2020, 05:06:00 AM »
I was in the city the other day and realized I'd gone my entire life without trying a bubble tea.
When I looked the options were endless and I ended up just getting a coffee from across the road.

Anyone on here a Bubble Tea aficionado?
Anything I should definitely try or avoid?

Yo! You gotta try taro bubble tea. I thought it was gonna be weird since it’s kinda a potato or root but it taste so sweet. The only real tip I got for you is to MAKE SURE THE BOBA IS TAPIOCA BASED OR THE BEADS STAY IN YOUR BODY.

it must be crazy when chico sells you something and the tables switch from "give me my money chico" to "giving my money to chico"

Yeah bro milky taro with the pearls

The other good one is the matcha one, but it’s not as good as the milky taro with the pearls

Are you for real Youoverthere, what do they use instead of tapioca? Plastic?

Taro is a classic, but you can also just get regular black milk tea with the tapioca pearls.

When I was living in Boston I'd hit this bubble tea spot in Allston, getting the jasmine flavor. I'd lurk and see how far I could send tapioca balls through the straw. They definitely crossed Harvard Ave on most shots. Ultimate spit balls

Been drinking boba/bubble tea for like..10-15 years. I remember when it first came out (in Hawaii) when I was a small child. The boba crazy recently just blew out of proportion for some reason highly related to instagram, but since then, I've stopped drinking it so much realizing that lines were always insane and it does add up. I'll enjoy it once in a while nowdays.

Small boba is the best, and it has to be the perfect texture/chewiness ratio.

I'll usually just get fruit teas, rather than milk teas...unless I feel like shitting my brains out.

You gotta find the right place for boba, some places tea definitely isn't as good as others and the boba should be a certain chewiness and not all stuck together. If you get the good shit you'll know when it isn't at other places.

Thai tea and taro are both really good but so is classic milk tea

yeah that’s what I order but sometimes I get fruit jelly, probably more sugar than a Slurpee.

MAKE SURE THE BOBA IS TAPIOCA BASED OR THE BEADS STAY IN YOUR BODY.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU FUCK UP AND HAVE THE BEADS TRAPPED IN YOUR BODY FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE?
