Fucking rad:

https://www.streetplant.com/blogs/news/spread-the-stoke?fbclid=IwAR1CBZ37RWqf4IhgytuU77R4JDUzzXwf4d5ocSTPp51DZ3NtFnyjtIkhAzY

"Kristian Svitak has saved, dated, and numbered every skateboard he has ever ridden. From his days as a young skate rat in the mid-80s, starting out on the streets of Garfield Heights in Cleveland, Ohio, through a professional skate career in the 90s and 00s that took him all over the world, every board is cherished. Even now, as a family man and forever hard-charging skateboarder in Oceanside, California, each board is a chapter of his autobiography."

Hmm, Mike V uses an opportunity to interview/discuss Svitak and his collection, as well as Lance Mountain and a few others, and uses the whole format to just talk about himself and his "high level of skating" and his benevolence... sounds about right. Mike V is his own biggest fan.

Kinda bummed to not hear more about Svitak's collection honestly. But I did read that article about his collection back about a decade ago, probably in The Skateboard Mag?

Perused this but didn't read it based on comments here, cop with a board is always a turn off
I've had a better understanding of what is happening around me while smoking Salvia as a passenger in a moving vehicle than reading your post

I like the part in that movie where Kingsley got real mad because the lady once tried to stick her finger in his butt during sex.
"Was just about to say, wtf is up with this EdLawndale guy?"

you'd think it would be bigger collection. you think if you took one out the middle he'd notice the continuity was all wrong and it would slowly drive him mad?

I think I kept the first 5 boards i used then realized there would be a bunch more and stopped. Kept a used AWS board from 1999 so I could always use it as a reference for "perfect shape for me"

met mike v once and asked him what happened with etnies. Said don and pierre kicked him off so that bastien and arto would join.

Claims he wanted to fight jermey fox but the dude locked himself in a office at etnies and neither don or Pierre would come down and talk to him lol.

I can listen to mike v stories all day but the second the guy writes I’m over it.

I remember hearing this somewhere a while ago, around this time Chris Lambert, Mike V, and Fabrizio Santos (can't remember who else) got the boot and Etnies picked up Arto, Bastien, Stefan Janoski and I think Zered Basset. What was Etnies thinking.

This needs to be said, but Mike Vallely sucks. All of his bands suck, his career as a hockey "enforcer" sucked, and honestly, as much as I love them, streetplants, no-comply, and the boneless only go so far.

Every business venture this dude tries to embark on is supposed to be "punk". Unfortunately, my local shop held his bands show a couple years back, he's just a douchebag that milks the industry.

I dig Svitak though, but the Label needs to "kill" itself and all its reincarnations.
