Marc's skits suffer from the same kind of bloat that SNL sketches do. Cut it down to half and I think everyone will enjoy it more. He's right about Freddie Hubbard being sick. The shooting the shit part was ok. The "whole I'm going to pretend to do ether like Hunter Thompson in Fear and Loathing" was pretty dumb. Glad he's hooking up some more people. Really, I just want him to drop a solid two minutes of skating whatever he wants twice a year. It's the same thing we want from most of the older dudes.

I haven't been to the courthouse in 20 years. Can anyone tell me if MJ staged the homebum mat on the stage and Sk8Bums throw on the roof he was calling out Treas Dad about. Seemed staged as I watched it. If it was staged as a backdrop, for another of MJs brilliant ideas, I'm amazed. I liked parts of Deshawns and MJs banter lots, but at the end I felt ashamed for enjoying it. Just like I feel mildly ashamed for typing this.

Pretty sure that the person living on the stage wasn't staged. Mackenzie Eisenhour (deadhippie on insta) skates there a lot and got a question about him the other day. Here's what he said:

"People asked about the guy living up top at the stage. He’s a nice guy and doesn’t mind us skating. He’s been posted up there for a while. I always say hi."

and then in the comments:

"people always ask him if he needs anything (money, clothes, food) and he says he’s fine"

I watched 6 minutes of MJ footage at the Fully Flared premiere and it was just a bald guy gutter climbing into noseblunts from boardslide position and those questionable manual tricks where you either pivot or swap trucks. Deleted him from my version of skate history instantly and refuse to watch anything he ever did thereafter.
Also, the English pop songs that everyone pretended were underground because they were too young to hear them on the radio the first time around sucked as well.

Nah, this was good. The banter/dialogue was great. I wasn’t a fan of the running thru the park skit. This I do like.
Marc is a trip: skates incredible/insufferable in interviews. Great company name/some horrible weird fucking gross graphics/some funny skits/bad skits.

I'm in no way a fan of almost but i found that to be a weird dig, pretty sure B+C has even less to offer a kid than them, not to mention what has Rodney done to you besides give you a home to create Enjoi. At least at Almost a kid's footage will be seen and they will receive compensation. What 2 years of B&C with not one skateboard trick?

I've always thought Mark was the biggest kook post fully flared and that his company was awful but I actually enjoyed this. I thought the whole "Ideas man" thing was bullshit but time will tell if he actually has good ideas and can run a board company. If he hooks up one more dude, he can put out a short video with Dashawn having last part and mark having a short part or footage sprinkled through out.
