I think people in this thread are confusing athleticism for natural talent.
For example: Wayne Gretzky is considered by many to be the greatest hockey player ever, but I think you would be hard-pressed to find anyone to say that he was the most athletic player even on his teams, let alone ever. (sidenote: some would argue that Gretzky wasn't even the most naturally talented, just the smartest. Many would say Mario Lemieux was the greatest natural talent ever)
Or take Tony Hawk in the 80s. He won most competitions he entered and was light years ahead of most of his peers as far as technical tricks go, but guys like Hosoi and Chris Miller could blast higher and their physical prowess made ol' Bony Cock look like a 95 lb weakling (which he was).
That being said, I think Zion is probably a good name to throw out there. Tyshawn, Nick Dompierre (even pre-personal trainer days), Pedro Barros, Luan. Probably some of those vert/mega guys too. Cardiel was probably a beast at any sport he played.
