Got the vm003 black canvas on a whim because the uppers on my shoes were tearing on the way to work. They feel a bit too floppy and sloppy for my liking. Went tts and laced up semi tight they fit well but probably won't get em again.

they actually get less floppy as they mold to your foot in my experience (at least with the canvas models)

Impish sausage is definitely gonna blow up as a euphemism this year

Good to hear. I'm curious to see how it pans out. Probably won't skate them as it's good to have shoes that aren't fucked up that go with almost anything.

I've been rocking the white ones for a couple of months and they're holding up pretty well. I think the other poster is right that they sort of gain a bit of structure as they get worn.

I dunno, my 003s are chillers-only for all the reasons listed above, and they only continue to get floppier. And I say this as someone who really enjoyed skating in multiple pairs of canvas CTAS lows.

It may just be that mine are so filthy now all the dirt and stains are making them crusty and stiff

Ive been skating the canvas low vm003s and they are definitely molding to my feet and feeling stiff. The rubber backing did absolutely nothing for me tho and are quickly blowing out. I do like how they look absolutely wrecked tho.

Those look great. Perfectly seasoned

My ollie hole on the VM001 canvas highs was right at the edge of the rubber shield, so I had to shoe goo pretty aggressively to keep them going.

Same thing happened with this one for me. And the rubber that did make contact immediately wore through too. Luckily, there is a layer of canvas lining after that that I layered some shoe goo on. Now that I think of it, the duracap in vans also doesn't line up with where my holes show up. Wish companies would extend the rubber to the side more and also use better rubber. I also have a toe joint at the side of my feet that poke out a bit so it might be a unique problem I have with ollie holes.

The rubber backing did nothing for me either, next time I'll definitely be putting a layer of shoe goo on before I skate them. Here are mine after 60 hours of skating. I reckon I can get a couple more sessions out of them!

These 5mm ones. They have an firm arch area but aren't the ones you put in the oven. I think those would be too thick for these shoes/my feet.

How well do the tongues stay up in LRAB shoes. Can’t stand having them fall to the side of my foot.

I've never had an issue with my tongue sliding to the side in any of my LRABs. Now, the tongue does have the lace loop in the center of the tongue, and they come from LRAB with just one lace through it, but I re-lace mine and run both sides through it. Not sure if this makes a huge difference or not. For me, they're totally solid and stay in place

I was really hoping this would be the drop where we get the vegan suede 002s, but those ones look a lot like animal suede

Huge fan of skating the 002s but those 003 highs will most definitely be purchased! Hopefully they're released in Europe soon

VM003 highs basically look like blazers without the swoosh, which i was dreaming about for years.

ahahahah exactly, can't wait to try them.

I was almost out of hope that they were going to make another hi-top model any soon, but here we are.
The '80s were the worst period. You had these horrible pop bands growing their hair and calling themselves metal.
