The year Dre day dropped at my school a culture war peaked. Everyone wanted to be a g. Few years before that it was heavy metal around here. Satanic panic shit.
I was always a punk but suddenly I'm in a new school and it's on AF.
I gotta man up because I'm getting harassed AF and I'm on probation.
This kid threatened me over my shoes one too many times in machine shop so I made a mini baseball bat out of some thick steal stock on the lathe.

I skated those like 4ish years ago. They were trash.

I skated some Ones I got off ebay this last summer and they were actually pretty good. Way better than I expected.

revamp of airwalk was supposed to happen a few years ago. one of my friends was in talks with the suits to get a team together, milic and a few others were pitched but they ended up just wanting two people with 100k + followers on instagram who skated contests. basically the dave and manny combo.

Someone else I know in the industry was also making this happen right before Covid with reissues of the proper shoes and a proper team and all that and then Airwalk bailed when the pandemic hit. Probably would have bailed anyway, they're clueless. I did almost get a box though. Goddamn covid.

If it wasn’t for the caption I would’ve assumed they were airspeeds. Something to be said about being self aware and taking those checks when you can.  That said, could be the nail in the coffin of a very talented skater that will never get respect for some reason.
Whoever said straye was dead on. Would’ve been a way better fit.

Mid to late 90s Airwalk and Vans would always end up in Ross and that's where Mother would get my shoes from. The other skateboarders would give me a little shit because they weren't Kastels or Duff's. Then, I somehow got some Emericas ... probably from a yardsale and i finally got the respect i deserved.
