Mad Dog: 90's Bay Area lurker
« on: February 03, 2021, 02:41:40 PM »
In the early to mid-90's, this older cat who called himself Mad Dog used to show up at demos and contests throughout the Bay Area and the surrounding areas. I don't remember ever seeing him skate, but he was really gregarious and seemed to be at any event that had more than a few people. He always seemed to be wearing an NHS company shirt and skate shoes that were older and slightly passe. I think he had a minor speech impediment of some kind and he was probably in his early 30's back then. Most people thought he was just a weirdo or kind of a kook. He seemed like a nice guy but of course kids can be really cruel and it didn't make much sense to us seeing this guy twice our age kind of showing up at demos and such and talking to us.

He popped into my head for the first time in years recently and I'm kind of curious about what his story was, or if he's still around. Does Mad Dog live?
