I've been skateboarding for 25 years and have never joined or followed a skateboard or any msg board before, until three days ago when I signed up on here. After documenting myself yesterday, it's become clear that my obsession with this msg board has become detrimental to my relationships and my mental health. Does anyone else feel like they are in a similar boat?

I alternate the boards between booze/benzo binges and coke fueled sex addiction. I can assure you the boards are by far the most benign of those three.

Maybe there's a SLAPaholics Anonymous 12 step program in your area?
You could always try to quit cold-turkey, but the DT symptoms are often more than folks can manage, and they wind up right back here.
Maybe some therapy to help you address your relationship with SLAP? Or perhaps you'd benefit from a harm reduction approach.
Wishing you success, in whatever form that may be, as well as the inner peace you'll need to begin your quest towards a SLAP free lifestyle.

I was startled when I saw who I became in such a short period of time! If there was one thing I know about dealing with addiction, its that its really important to be open, humble and to have honest conversations with others regarding my issues. thanks for listening and the suppport!
