i buy nyjah's shoes at zumiez and then steal nyjahs money and deposit it into a bank account so that half of the 9 trillion whatsoever dollars hes making goes to me and the other half goes to dc so that i get a free pair of lynx every week.

in all seriousness however i dont really do anything except for talking nyjah shit to teach this generation why you shouldn't take skating too seriously.

Precovid I might buy everyone at the skate park something from the ice cream truck If I was feeling kinda baller that day. Other than that my hater-ass locals can fuck off lol (only half kidding).

Donate used decks and slightly used wheels to shops or give them directly to people who need them.

Build parks with my friend who has a business doing that stuff. He takes suggestions from the locals so we can build what they want and we recycle as much of the existing wood as possible to get as much out of the budget as we can. With wood prices on the rise that's more important now than ever.

Install angle iron on bad ledges and rub brick/laquer stuff that needs it.

Be nice to other skaters.

Whether I win or lose in a game of skate, I always give my opponent a nice long hug and whisper “You did great, brother” into their ear.

Build something at your local DIY for people to skate.

If no DIY, build something skateable at a spot that wasn't previously skateable.

If you aren't super savvy with concrete, then bondo some cracks around spots you like to skate.

Reminds me of back in my days at my local park. Vanessa Torres left her old deck at the park and I ended up with it. Was one of the best boards ever. Years later I brought it up to Vanessa over Instagram and was stoked.

Anyway, I have given away pretty much everything, new, old, half life, one session things away to people since I can remember. I haven't done much this past year, because of everything and avoiding people, but recently there is people collecting stuff for the youth to start/keep skating. I'm going to give the decks I have to them.

Nothing, because the best thing that can happen for skateboarding is for it to die again.

Act nice and encouraging to the little kids that be at the spot/park trying to learn basics. this comes hand in hand with teaching em to stay out the way.

Give tips for how to land tricks, but with Perverted golf instructor vibes.

You know, standing directly behind them and no matter whatever the trick is just telling them they "really need to put their hips into it" as I have my hands on their waist.

For me the best thing I've found I can do is just be nice to people. Be respectful of people learning. I used to be such a hateful cunt when I was in my teens that now I'm a bit older, I realized how fucking dumb that shit is. I'm gonna treat them with respect as long as they treat me with respect, and if they don't, fuck em.

I've also found sharing my knowledge of filming quite rewarding. It's nice to pass on information I've spent years learning myself so younger people can make their videos better than before.
