You are arrested along with at least one other person for some serious 25 to life, no parole type shit. The police interrogate you separately and offer you a deal if you to spill the beans on anyone involved.
Are you snitching?
Realistically, it's best not to say anything. Not fucking anything. That whole "anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law". That is far more real than you can even realize. It's not up for the police to give you a deal. The only person that is going to give you a deal or a plea bargain will be a district attorney or a judge. The only thing to say if at all is "I will only be speaking with my lawyer". Even if you don't have one. The state will appoint a lawyer.
But yea it's easiest to just not do illegal shit. Then you don't have to worry about it.
