Tim and Henry's Pack of Lies is a good one. It's short enough to fit into kid's attention spans too.

Op, you ok man? Being real here, you doin alright?

Obviously I'd say Video Days but I also feel like a lot of kids nowadays wouldn't get that video (I remember kids struggling to get it back in the 2000's already), usually I try to tune them in onto late 80's/early 90's vids from Powell/New Deal/H-Street as those are a good display of what you can do on a skateboard and also how you're really free build your own style. And if I had to pick just one of these then maybe I'd go with 1281.

Also, it's funny seeing all the differences between what qualifies as old.
Right? I’m like ... Photosynthesis? That’s old? Oh shit it’s old. But it’s not old, old. A lot of that skating could be in a video today.

Alva -Out of Focus is a 90's gem, feels like a proto anithero video.  Not the oldest or must seeable, but older and worth watching son.

I've never seen this.  Does Justin Lynch or Jesse Neuhaus have a part?

Justin has a sick part at 19:00

I guess I am the younger generation and I still like video days. I can see how it’s relevant today, like how they were going faster and kind of setting the foundation for street skating. Streets of fire too. I tried to watch the hstreet videos but just couldn’t get through them.

The opening of Two Songs when Julien throws his board down, hits a beautiful tailslide and floats that massive kickflip is arguably one of my favorite moments in skateboarding.

(I know that’s someone’s signature, but I can’t remember who, but I wish I could gnar it every time I saw it).

Blind Video Days of course.

*My personal pick would be Transworld's Sight Unseen...truly a beautifully crafted skate video that is always memorable.

Besides 411VM, I lived through Transworld videos...especially On Videos

Full parts from Cardiel, Henry Sanchez, Tosh Townend, Dollin, and a spectacular Moody Blues ender from Heath

i guess i still consider myself fairly young but now that i’m 27 i’d guess that the majority of active, #skateeverydamnday skateboarders are younger than me now. wild to think about honestly.
fuck it give the kids baker 3 and a rack of beer. if i had to develop a drinking habit idolizing a bunch of dipshits these kids should too. ruin another generation of impressionable children. also blind what if so they know how bad a skate video can truly be.

Thank you.  Saw him skate a couple of times, and like that part, he ripped very hard.

Forgot Mario had such a clean style too.

Photosynthesis came out in what, 2000? I remember at that age anything from before 94-95 looked old to me. But that's probably due to the fast progression of that era and introduction of VX as the standard camera later on.

Considering we watch the progression of skating in real time with a never ending stream of clips now, I wouldn't be suprised if a 14 year old kid had no interest in a bunch of videos from the early 2000's that we consider classic. Let alone grainy as hell 80's or early 90's footage.

I think whoever said it's too hard to get kids to watch full vids is correct.

So I think it' more like what key parts should kids watch?

early Hensley, Natas, Gonz, Barbee to show where street skate skating came from.

Then something from the EMB era of street. Probably Mike and Sanch

maybe next would be Fowler from "a visual sound" to show the reaction to the previous mention.

After that Guy in Mouse, Jamie in Welcome, Josh in timecode, Penny in Europe 95, MJ in seven steps.

jump ahead to Stevie in Choco tour, something funny from the Storm, Muska from Dream, Carrol again from Modus

at that point youre sorta caught up.

oh, and every bobby puleo part.
