This was awesome. I love how he doesn’t follow any trends and does his own thing.

I feel like he gets left out of a lot of conversations about favorite skaters. I don't get how he can keep it up at that level after all these years of living on a cranberry farm in the boonies and driving to Boston to film. So sick.

The song was a nice change up from a post-rock song like Mogwai or EITS that he seems to normally skate to.

I hate his nollie flips.

I was just thinking about how I love his nollie flips lol.

Wonderful part all around. I was wondering about him a couple weeks ago... glad to see he's obviously still crushing it.

It cannot be overstated how important Westgate is to skateboarding. Literally no one has ever used a skateboard the way he does.

He'll always be in my top 5. Total legend.

Sick to see he's not slowing down and is still progressing. There's stuff in here I haven't really seen him do before. The front tail 270 kickflip being the most obvious.

The shoe looks good too.

That landing into a pool cover seems like it could get really sketchy real fast.

I love the way he does kickflip nosegrinds, among other tricks.

Was this filmed primarily in Boston/east coast? Lots of cool spots I’ve never seen before.

Lot of greater Boston, but they aren’t skate spots. It’s shit I’ve walked and driven by, never once imagining it would be possible to skate. “Spots” I know have never been seen or attempted by anyone else. I am in utter disbelief every time I see his parts

2:27 is the best nollie flip ever done:

His shoulders aren't parallel with the board when he nollie flips, he seems like he's facing forward a little bit, or at least he is when he lands, and I think that's sick.

it's absurd to back smith a jersey barrier like it's nothing

Haha I had the same thought. He did that way too casually.

Dude's a boss.  Arguably my all time favorite skater.

I mean this as a compliment - I’ve always felt like Westgate is the best example of doing the most with a smaller bag of tricks. There are 10 tricks in a Westgate part you always know you will see, but it will still feel fresh because of spot selection and the way he skates.

This part broke that conception for me a little bit because he threw in some new flip in/flip out variations. Overall one of my favorite Westgate parts.

I saw him skate at the Mattapoisett, MA skatepark in the late 2000's and he ollied up and gapped the benches like nothing. No set up time whatsoever.

He’s like Busenitz in regards to SOTY

I’m a little shocked no ones done the “super on the nose” pick and had him skate to a Cranberries song

Lutzka in shambles

No way he's riding Ricta in that clip, they would have flatspotted in a hurry.

Dude is repping powerful East Coast skating in 2021, carrying on the legacy of Donny Barley and Aaron Suski.
