"You drink one brand of energy drink from now on, because if I ever see two different brands of energy drinks in this house again I’m gonna snap your neck like a twig."
LOL
I can totally see it.
His behavior seems to be the polar opposite of Leo Johnson's. As dopey as Chris can come off in certain contexts, it seems like he loves his family and is trying to put them first. Leo was plain selfish & definitely didn't live as close to a Target as Joslin.
I wonder if Julia ever sneaks off to Target, looks around, gets a Monster in her cart. They load the bags, a smidge of guilt comes over her as she takes off her mandated mask, existing the store. Maybe a bead or two of sweat trickle down her forehead onto her cheek as she sips that sweet, sweet nectar. "Ambrosia, food of the Gods" she thinks to herself, as she drinks it down, still in the Target parking lot. Kids in the back, wondering when they are going home. As she gulps the final drips, tucks the empty can into the side of the door. Upon arriving home, she sees Chris has also just returned.
"Hey babe, just big flipped an 18 stair today"
"That's great honey, I was just doing some shopping at Target"
"I'll help you with the bags..."
"No no… heh heh.. I've got it" (as she remembers the empty can, nervously).
They eat a nice family dinner, containing all of the basic food groups. She keeps telling herself "Don't forget the can... don't forget the can". As they lay in bed, she waits for Chris to drift off, before sneaking downstairs to retrieve the empty can and tuck it underneath a heavy bag in the bin. She can't wait for tomorrow, for she can re-unleash the beast again.
