C’mon Sneaky...I sure you could stand to loose a few Ezra Pounds.

See what I did there? Just 10 LBS and your conjugal visits will be off the chain!!!

Wow, epic callback, haha.

I’m low key addicted to simple carbs and therefore have a little muffintop lovehandle situation going on.

Sometimes I wonder if my aspirations to become a Chippendales dancer will ever come true.  Fuck you, English muffins. >:(

Just weighed myself... 208. I got up to 217 during the first part of the pandemic.

I’d like to get to 190-195 and add some muscle.

I’d like to do 30. The Bunk is the biggest he’s ever been. Weighed in at the doctor the other day at 227.

Going to cut out booze and fast food. Cut down on the bread. Need to get moving every day too. Been wanting to lose weight for a while and I’ve been buying stuff to help like a jump rope and a 30lb kettle but it’s actually getting out and doing it after a 10 hour work day that’s the hard part. I’d rather eat a burger and pass out.

I paid a good amount of money (400$) for an online personal trainer awhile back (which I totally fucked off like an idiot).  I still have the excel spread sheet plan they sent me, which outlines and calculates macros as well as gives an idea for exercises.

PM me if you are interested. Just trying to spread the shalom like a thick schmear.

I was previously underweight and struggling to *gain* weight in the early pandemic. Early Covid had me rationing my food because I was afraid to go to the grocery store. My local supermarket was literally across the street from the hospital that reported NYCs first official Covid death. The place looked like a war zone, had sirens wailing constantly, had refrigerated dead body storage trucks parked outside, was full of doctors getting sick af etc. It was a rough time in that neighborhood.

Then I started eating peanut butter out of the jar and drinking protein shakes every day. Then I moved to LA and no longer walk/ride a bike everywhere. Wouldn’t you know it I gained 20 pounds like lightning.

Now I’d like to lose about ten of those so that I can get back to my pants fitting properly. I’ve gone thru pants sagging off my ass during early pandemic anxiety weight loss, and now I’m too big for the damn pants due to overzealousness with my bulking techniques.

Gonna see if simply cutting out the flagrant abuse of desserts and peanut butter can bring me back into check.

I feel fat as fuck right now and I need to start filming for a video part for my 50th birthday next year....and now I saw this thread so I feel like I'm going to have to join in this madness.  I have been putting it off.  I don't need to lose a ton, but i'm 190 and I need to be 170-175 to feel normal and not tubby.  I'll put 20lbs of loss on here by July 1.  Time to buy one of those fucking jump ropes that Kelly Hart keeps advertising I guess (for reals, because I HATE running but it's the thing that works the best for my fitness).  If I work out modestly but cut out sugar the lbs fall off for me.
I've done this thing called the Whole Life Challenge and it works wonders for me, for those looking for some kind of structure.  Very simple, work out for a min of 10 minutes a day (strenuous workout) and completely cut out all added sugars from your diet.  Seems kind of easy at first but basically anything packaged has added sugar in it.  Mostly it just keeps you accountable by logging in and recording how good/bad you're doing on it.  Sometimes it's purely the accountability that is needed.

One 8th / quarter of coke, every weekend with minimal eating and sleeping for 2/3 months and it'll fall off drastically.

Not healthy at all obvs but it works big time.

Yeah but you get really angry all the time, man
I have experience with this haha

I gotta weigh myself but yeah I would definitely benefit from having a go here, too. I would like to lose 5 kilograms. I’d be down for everyone to chuck 5 or 10 bucks in and whoever loses the most weight gets paid. Lets get some bigger blokes on here going to town on themselves and I mean even if you don’t come first you still win ay

Last year my wife talked me into doing a whole-30 diet. I made it 27 days and said fuck all - but I lost 9 lbs. I think the big things were no booze, sugars or eating out. Some of the rest was fairly suspect - but it did work.

I could use to lose 7-10 now, so I am cutting back to a beer every other night, and trying to get back to riding my bike 4 hrs a week. (I used to do 12-15)

My fitness level is decent right now, but I’ve for sure got a layer of insulation that is not needed. Getting married in June so my fiancé and I are trying to eat healthier, practice portion control etc. Hoping to lose about 10 which will put me back at college weight.

Did 5 days of the Fasting Mimicking Diet last week, pretty much a major calorie restriction while upping the percentage of calories that come from carbohydrates and dropping protein. Was cranky and sore all week (kept the same workout routine) but lost 6 lbs. Haven’t weighed myself since Saturday but I’ve probably gained 3-4 of those back. Was for sure a good exercise in self control and appreciating meal time vs round the clock snacking.

I'm 160-162 lbs right now (weighed myself in the evening, not in the morning as I should), and standing at five-eight. Got more flab on me than I'd prefer and want to cut it down to 155 or so.

Since November I barely exercised due to all gyms being closed and the winter. It was awful. I've found that it doesn't really matter what I eat; if I'm not exercising, fat is accumulating.

Now, with the warmer weather and COVID cases lowering, I can start to move again.

This year, I'm going to try and change things in terms of my schedule and wake up around 7:30 then go skate without eating or drinking anything (if work permits). After jumping rope to warm up, or a bike ride to the park, then a 30-min warm-up skate, I'll take a break and eat a light breakfast that I bring with me (maybe just a breakfast bar and a banana) and some water and coffee, then skate for another hour to seventy-five minutes.

I've heard that you should exercise in the morning on a completely empty stomach, not even water or coffee, to expedite fat loss. That's incredibly difficult, but I think I can make it work since skating is so fun that I won't be thinking about food.

Another strike against me is that I need carbs. I can't see myself adopting a keto diet. And I don't even eat that much, nor do I eat an unhealthy diet all the time, yet fat accumulates. I'm assuming that the carbs are sticking to me regardless of my caloric intake or exercise, so hopefully the morning sessions will help.

And much respect to those of you heavier than me but doing everything you can to stave off weight gain, it's inspiring!

Hands down Hass out

Got damn this is the thread I needed.

Drinking a shit ton since quarantine (No beer though). Skating's weird right now. Tried to supplement it with running daily but that shit is boring as fuck. Easy to tap out early.

Never really been big on protein/carbs but nevertheless, Dickies are getting a bit tight around the ole waist.

Looking towards 15lbs. Stress eating/drinking is too real though.

Drunk... Polpot.

im 17 5,8 and 130pounds before i shit. i used to around 145-150. heres some stuff i did that helped me

- i was always into spicy food, but really doubled down on the ghost pepper when covid started. Every meal had me sweating and sharting. it makes non-fatty/salty foods taste good and raises your metabolism for a bit

- sugary drinks - i still binge on chocolates and shit (stole a whole tray of 24 oh henry's 3 weeks ago...gained like 5 pounds) since im taking advantage of my youth but quitting soda etc does get easier at a certain point. Nowadays sugary drinks dont taste as appealing to me and my body rejects/hates the sugar rush.

- pushing hard on shit bearings and hard 45mm wheels - not as reccomended since its tough on joints but essentially your legs are the biggest muscle in your body and gaining leg muscles raises overall testerone production and resting metabolic rate. (my left leg is significantly juicer then my right...time to start switch pushing)

- WATER WATER WATER WATER - ive been drinking a shit ton of expensive bottled water mindlessly since ive made it a habit and always have water bottles in my workspace (havent seen yellow piss in months baby!!) i do believe its worth the extra cost of bottled water to stay slightly over hydrated all the time.

- strong ass instant coffee - fuck the directions, i fill up my mug/cup with 1/4 instant coffee and chug it down with a wethers caramel. Makes skating feel strong and poppy and fills me with gods power to do work. (i consider it a cardio workout)

i think i have more but i forgot
Nah i skate big boards cause i got big ass feet and a big ass dick

I’m needing to cut down on energy drinks. I’m intermittent fasting, and eating one meal a day at night (my adderall prescription def. helps).

But to make it through a day of driving a few hundred miles and cleaning about 100 portapotties, I slam energy drinks like it’s no ones business. I know they got those 0 calorie joints, but they taste like bug repellent and NyQuil. But I’ve been good with water, at least 4 quarts a day. What’s not chill is almost pissing your pants several times a day, though.

Last I checked I’m down 14lbs.
Well I have like 9 Andy Anderson dated flight decks.

Sup y'all. In October 2018 I was diagnosed with hypertension and my doctor was adamant that I lose weight to help keep it in check. I'm just shy of 6'3" and was 220 at the time, and by summer 2019 I was down to 190. I've put some weight back on since but have been steady at around 200.

The biggest thing that helped was using a calorie tracking app (free version of MyFitnessPal or whatever) and logging every single thing that i ate. Also a food scale to weigh when necessary. On paper it seems like a lot of work, but it really isn't and it just kind of becomes second nature at a point. And in addition to helping you eat at a calorie deficit, it helps you figure out where excess calories are slipping in so that you can change some of those habits.

I know for me, I thought I was being "good" by eating a ton of fruit, but in reality is was just taking in an excess of calories when I wasn't hungry. Just little stuff like having A banana instead of 2. Also making sure to log every beer...man, I love an IPA but holy shit. And being honest about the amount of exercise you log.

Anyway, honesty, calorie reduction and portion control (with the goal of changing habits) were my key.

I'm at about 200 right now, but normally sit around 180 to 185.

I'd like to lose 15 pounds by summer so I'm in good shape for skating/hiking/bicycling. And then ideally down to 175 or so by fall.

It's been a hard year in terms of physical (and mental!) health because of Covid. Drinking way too much has been the main culprit. All those extra calories, plus eating like shit while drinking/hungover, plus no motivation to exercise for a few days after drinking.

Main goal is to cut the booze. Know that healthier eating comes natural for me when I'm sober. Second goal is to exercise every day - even if it's just walking the dog a few miles. Have a friend to play tennis with a few days a week. Start skating and bicycling as the weather gets nicer. Have a kettlebell that I'd like to throw around for a bit each morning too.

Stoked to have some extra motivation to lose some weight with all of you guys!

Damn, that sounds horribly unhealthy. Your blood sugar must go on a daily rollercoaster ride. How about coffee or some healthier energy, like food to get you through your day? Putting all that sugar in you, you are breaking fast anyways.

Same here on the booze. I did dry January with no drinking and watched my diet, lost over 12 pounds and felt amazing. Less joint pain, soreness. Just real good overall.

Since then, started drinking on weekends again and last time I checked put 6 pounds back on.

I'm already pretty good about my diet. The main factor here is really alcohol. It's like flipping a switch.

So yeah, looking to drop 20 pounds by summer, will cut out booze and take it easy on bread, sugar and junk foods.

Let's do this!

Guayaki makes the bomb loose leaf mate. Last time I drove across the states, during pandemic, I didn't want to stop for coffee anywhere so I brewed up 2 1 gallon jugs worth and it was smooth sailing the whole time. Mate lattes with hemp/coconut milk substitute, cinnamon, and a little honey is fire.

I’ve been doing keto/intermittent fasting for about 3 weeks now.  Have lost probably in the 20-30 pound range (didn’t want to know how bad I got so I didn’t look at the starting weight, but had a rough idea).   Started to get fat when I moved to LA 10 years ago because I was in grad school/on set pretty much every day for 2-3 years, so I was on a steady diet of stress, craft service, cigarettes, alcohol.   Then I hit the post-school depression which tacked on more pounds and had a few foot and shoulder issues that got in the way of keeping an exercise routine going.

Anyways, this has been a long time coming and it’s not been super painful to abstain from food unless I’m out in my car, which isn’t often bc in still furloughed and try and stay contactfree.

I set my first cheat weekend for April 16th and I spend a lot of time thinking about how motherfucking hard on carbs I’m going for those two days.   I’m going to evaluate where I am 18 weeks after that hopefully be able to be done with it on my birthday.

Alright, posting this image for some accountability.

Long story short, I've put on about 40-45 lbs of pure fat over the past ~15 months or so. A combination of isolation from Covid and anxiety/alienation from serious under-employment have led me to become just a junk food slob. This thread is as good of a reason as any to turn my shit around.

Looking to get under 160 lbs by July. For my body type, I'd say 140 lbs is my ideal weight. Will be posting once a week or so, keep myself accountable, and hopefully motivate some others here who may be struggling.

Best of luck pals.

How's everyone doing so far?

I just got hired for a bud tending job, so I'll be on my feet constantly.  My last 2 jobs over the last 4 years were office type scenarios where I sat on my ass pretty much all day.  I'm going to go out and buy some supportive running shoes for work and think this will help immensely, as I've basically been sitting too much since last winter.

Anyone have running shoe recs?  I've had Ultraboost's in the past, but think I want to go with a firmer outsole.  Hope ya'll have a great weekend.  Let's make good choices pal's!  Shalom.

Lost about 10 pounds since late Feb. Down to about 210 now. Aiming to get down to 190-ish by the time I graduate from Grad School in May.

Haven't done a ton of additional exercising, but really moved away from sandwiches/chips for meals to some kind of lean meat on a bed of spinach for lunch. Snacks went from sweets to yogurt with a few blueberries and dark chocolate. Dinners are usually salmon/fish/chicken and vegetables. Breakfast is usually a handful of peanuts and a granola bar.

If i get hungry after a workout, i have a glass of Ghost Protein Powder and water.

I tried intermittent fasting in the past and it worked for about a couple of weeks, but wasn't sustainable to only eat a few hours a day and I immediately gained everything I lost after I quit.
if post- retirement duke nukem bagged that azz i have a chance too

i didnt need to lose weight but I wanted to get healthier last fall.

im 6'2" and 185 down from 193.

I skip breakfast.  if im starving ill eat a banana and protein bar (160 calories)

I eat the same lunch every day.
- 6 carrots
- 6 triscuits
- 2 tbs of hummus
- handful of almonds
- a handful of sweet potato chips
- an apple

for dinner its literally a protein of my choice, rice/quinoa, and a big helping of green/orange/yellow veggies with a sauce of some kind.

I don't eat dairy anymore, no chips, no candy bars, no gummy snacks, anything fried (90% of the time..i fuck with fries or tots sometimes), no bread really, no sweets except dark chocolate or some dried fruit.

i drink 3-4 liters of water a day.

I lost 8 pounds and I feel AMAZING.  I also still drink 2-3 beers a day which im working on....

should I eat more? probably...but Im using this time to sort of reset my body and figure out what shit bothers me, triggers GI issues, makes me feel bloated or tired, etc. So eventually I'll obviously up my calories for lunch.

you literally have to just not eat as much, watch what goes into your mouth, think about the benefits vs destruction of what that food will do.

be active 4-5 times a week for 30 min.

its worked for me.  calorie counting and mindfulness is all you need.

my poops are god tier! and that's coming from someone who has dealt with serious IBS for 10 years.

Don’t take my word for it, but I think you’re drinking way too much water.  3-4 liters is an insane amount unless you’re in the desert.    Clear pee isn’t the ideal and you could be flushing out needed nutrients and what not.

I've been injured and put on some weight while losing most all of my muscle so I'm going to try to lose 15 lbs and gain some strength.

Can we talk a little bit about the common body dysmorphia that can accompany skateboarding? How many of us feel ashamed about our bodies if we're not super skinny? I want to give a loving shout out to Fred Gall and Andrew Allen as body positive examples of fellow full figured skaters. <3
