Probably my all-time fav death metal album, absolutely immaculate mainly due to Kevin Talley's drumming.

Gonna watch them tomorrow with Archspire opening up.
2nd time time seeing Dying Fetus live but last one was about 8 years ago so I’m pretty hyped…

How does this exist?

it must be crazy when chico sells you something and the tables switch from "give me my money chico" to "giving my money to chico"

some stuff I've been into lately...

described as Grand Belial's Key meets Thin Lizzy with some Sacryphix.. that's a pretty crazy mix.  IRA-based black/death.

I was never too into melodic death, but this rules.  Like iron maiden meets death metal.  Clearly a rip-off of Arghoslent but they aren't nazi's so I'll take it:

gutteral shit.  New Jersey death metal

That's the gist of the entire genre basically. I love it when a fat hook emerges from a brutal section. That's what I show up for.

Yeah I always kept it at arms length because of albums like Heartwork... but now I'm going back and trying to relisten to stuff I dismissed too quicky, like Dismember and Desultory.

New Undergang came out yesterday and of course it rules:

also this just dropped, the singer from Disgorge's new band:

couple new albums I've been into:

also the new Blood Incantation single came out yesterday, I'm not sure how I feel about it yet.  It feels kind of mailed in... there's no real aggression to it.  It also sounds like they just want to be an ambient band now, and just kinda go through the death metal-motions to get to that part of it.  I don't know, maybe it'll grow on me.  I'll still get their new album immediately.
