Aye...
I pulled a Scram out of my “icebox” to check for tell-tale wood shop markings & all mine had was a single dimple between the rear truck holes, on the top ply.
Make of that info what you will, if you can make anything of it at all.

Would be awesome to add a description or a picture of the top ply to identify board manufacturers.

Other than that the list is perfect, thanks for keep it updated!

Which deck is that one? I’d love to see a pic.

@Plan9Customs, it is this one. I think it’s the first of the Brandon Perelson(sp?) models: 8.75” w/ a 14.5” WB, dipped white.
One of the few Scram graphics that doesn’t scream “garage brand” to me.
Not that I mind that aesthetic, I’ve got a Scram w/ awful graphics gripped & on deck right now. I can’t see the bottom when I’m riding anyways, save for when I’m doing flip tricks, which is almost never, so...
Anyway, here’s a pic I pulled off of the web since I’m not at home presently.

Like I said, I remember hearing they were BBS but when I looked into getting one of the scram-hain popsicles a while back those were definitely prime. In the image below you'll see the U5 mold and size between the rear truck holes on the top. That may have been a pandemic thing, or they may use someone else for the shaped boards and then run the popsicles at prime. That's really all the intel I have about them though, I had no desire to really investigate further as I wasn't a fan of the only prime deck I've tried.

A gracious thank you, BFRD, for the further intel.
I won’t care until there’s grip on top & trucks/wheels beneath. Wood shop notwithstanding, I’ll make my decide on whether it’s right for me at THAT time.
Shared for the sake of our collective knowledge database, but even within manus, there’s often so much variance that I never know if it’s a good fit for me personally until I’m standing on top of it, mid trick.
Props/blessings unto you, as well as Brimmo & Xen for being the knowledge keepers of our micro society.

Thanks for the check up guys!

Not sure if it is just me but that doesn't come up, but from a google search it does look like a nice shape - good squared off tail, not too sharp but not too fat and blunt either, if that is the same one?

This listing shows lots of close ups, top, etc.

https://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/shopping/oddball-skate-snow_03443?lang=en

Another good pic of a Scram deck from the same search is from 35th Ave shop from maybe 2019 / 2020, link below:

http://www.35thave.com/shop/c/p/Scram-Earthskii-Whale-Two-natural-Lukas-Miller-10-x-31875-x38510857.htm

Then there are all these if you really want to see more:

https://oddball-skate-snow.blogspot.com/2019/02/scram-new-deck.html

I guess though the question is where are they getting the most recent boards done now?

There have been some BBS, a couple of other plain / natural wood with thicker ply layers (Watson maybe) and quite a few single colour top and rest natural ply layers (Prime maybe) that I have seen - people skating them so no top shot or whatever but felt different to BBS and some new ones just arrived here but I am yet to see or stand on any.

Okay we can put the Scram debates behind and edit it correctly now:

Anyone heard of or seen this woodshop?

Project Skateboards out of South Africa.

Definitely a woodshop, not a reseller.

I've been looking for a new deck and found two boards with similar Specs that im intrested in, a gx1000 & a quasi. 8.625 X 32.5 with a big wheelbase at 14.75.

Riding a 9 with 14.5wb now but wanna go down in width for easier flips, thinking a lil extra wb helps it not feeling small.

How is a 14.75 Long WB for flips & general riding?

And how are the shapes of the boards?

I preffer medium concaves,  big/full noses.

What are clutch boards like?

I'm a huge Magenta fan and have loved all my boards from them, bit disappointed to see them moving away from BBS tbh.

Clutch boards are really good. I like them better than PS Stixs. They're almost as good as BBS tbh.

ATM/Permanent Vacation are BBS not Clutch

Thank you - changed the listings for those two.

An older ATM board I had was PGI here in AU, but that was from I don't know how many years ago as it was new old stock from someone else.

I think I had been informed a lot of other wood (mostly BBS brands) had moved over to Clutch, but I am starting to see people post that those brands are mostly still on BBS, so hopefully with more information I can keep the woodshop listings as up to date as possible.

The latest drop here in AU is still BBS / Generator so I am not sure if it has just taken a while for the shipment to get here, or they have not actually changed from BBS.

Anyone able to check their local or find out more info, please let me know.

Other brands that used Generator were also said to be changing to Clutch, but again I am not so sure - thinking it was Isle, Magenta and a couple of others out of a US distro that just put the transfers on Generator blanks.

Magenta always had the same wood as Passport, dark brown stain and a bit more mellow than most BBS / Generator boards I had too.

Just picked up a few Worble boards, threw out the shrink wrap but it had a warning sticker and is made in Mexico. I’m no expert identifying boards but I guess it is BBS? It had a 7k stamp between the front bolts. Also I really can’t manage to post a photo.

7K + Mexico = Clutch

Added to the main woodshop thread - thank you!!!

I’ve skated a ton of clutch boards. They are good, though they tend to sog out quicker than BBS IMO

Keep hearing good things about this new wood in Colorado. Anno Domini i believe is the  manufactures name? Looks like they got a decent amount of brands. Anyone else heard / have more info?

Thanks for the info.

I have added it to the CURRENT WOODSHOP THREAD main page listings.

Looks like this might be the list for AD Manufacturing:
AD Skateboards
GBAx Skateboards
Hux Skateboards
Wienerdog Skateboards
Overland Skateboards
Whisper Skateboards
Wool Skateboards

Look like rad brands.

That’s all the main brands I could find.

Anyone know anything about point distribution? Friend of mine just ordered boards from there. I’ve never heard of them, their site looks kinda sus, anyone ever ridden their boards?
[close]

I got some boards from Point. Their mellow boards are fucking flat. as their wood goes. It’s alright I guess. Since I hated the concave, I did give the wood a fair shake. I’m pretty sure the order product from China and print in the US
[close]

I had a look at their stuff a while back too, but as you said, it seems more like a "reseller" of product, not an actual "manufacturer" as in they don't make the products there, then just buying in the blank product and putting heat transfers on decks, graphics on wheels, etc so I had not added it to the list of woodshops on the first page.

Nothing wrong with that, but some other places who do similar things are not very clear about where their product comes from and how they do business, with some even having "Made in USA" when all they do is put the heat transfer on in the USA and get boards from China.

Of course I am a long way away and don't know anything about local production in the USA so if someone else has facts and is willing to share, otherwise who knows what is going on.

Yeah definitely seems that they are just buying blank decks and reselling them with graphics. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing if the decks are good, but I have my doubts. I’ll probably steer clear, they only have 2 shapes and they don’t really appeal to me. I also don’t need more decks haha

I've been skating decks from Point for almost 9 years now and can vouch for quality. I did try clutch and had a few other brands here and there but the majority of my decks were from point.

Did you prefer one or the other for the different molds, mellow or steep?

What size or sizes have you tried, and was there anything to compare them to in terms of concave?

* I guess if you had been riding only those for that long, it might not be so easy to say, "Oh they feel like these other woodshops" but it is always worth asking.

Good to know any which way.

I’ve stuck with the 8.0, steep concave which has a 14 inch wheelbase all these years. I figured if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

What I did realize since 2019ish is that the steep concave with colored veneer seem a bit mellower and have a bigger nose than the steep concave without colored veneer.

I have both types laying around somewhere (a new deck from 2017 and a new deck from 2019) so maybe I’ll take some measurements to see if they’re actually different or if it was just mental.

I haven’t been able to get any boards from them for the last 1.5 years due to the covid backup so I wouldn’t know if they changed anything up recently.

Anyone know which woodshop Glue is from?

I am almost going to say PS Stix but I just cannot quite make out the laser etching over the front truck well enough to say so.

Even the Instagram board pic looks like the classic PS Stix but just not sure...
