Bought these & although I ditched laces for a little bit I was thoroughly pleased

These have the same footbed as the Figgy Dose, I think...and that is a really good shoe. My feet wore it down weird, but I would totally buy again.

Yeah, it's the same shoe but a little more Edgy, they also fit somewhat straighter, the laces didn't get in the way at all but the best part is you can wear them straight w.out

He is probably going to make more doing this and be front and center for globe/habitat VS in the background over there. He represents a different time in skating and isn't especially relevant to the new crop FA targets. It's definitely not as "cool" but he gets to get paid and do what he wants.

Habitat footwear was really good. They had a vegan line that was ahead of their time and weren’t just crappy canvas. They should have went by a different name. Same with DGKxRBK. It just should have been RBK skateboarding with Stevie as the prod type. Shoes were great.

Their insoles probably wouldn't be up to today's standards, but otherwise they were pretty good in terms of function, and many of us switch out insoles anyway. Not the best, not the worst.

Alright pals ... I bit and got my package today (GS Chucka ) ... tbh I'm super impressed with the quality.  There is no glue or lose threads  anywhere even under the insoles.  I'll post more pics if anyone cares or is interested.  There was a NB# I really loved the look of that looked like this but was just too narrow for my foot.  This one the stitchings is far enough back where it isn't hitting the knuckles and is super comfortable so far.

Last I “heard” from the globe camp here in Oz was that they were doing a revamp of the skate program but had no intention of paying the team money. This is also why a well known TM and all round legend of a person, who backed the brand for years is now wearing nikes as “the rumour” is he refused to back a program that didn’t pay their riders.

i doubt the TM has a moral compass, the guy is the face for zumiez owned fast times

Not expecting too much wild from them haha.  But if you like any of the basic shoes from any of the other companies, any at all, these are at the very least the same level if not better.  Like I said earlier, would def take these over any of the vans I've had in the past 2 years and they are as good as any of the big company brands as well. 

This impressed me a ton tbh...  I can't remember seeing a shoe that looked perfect under the insole

Overall, I can see people not buying them because they are Globe.  But tbh, at this point I don't think it really matters unless you are buying sole tech or state (maybe one or two more), you aren't really buying skater owned, and I don't even know if they are anymore.  But if they brought back the cup sole that was on the Haslam Abyss and put it on this shoe I probably wouldn't buy much else.
