Most skated spots on skatepark
« on: April 08, 2021, 10:35:14 AM »
In order to make skateparks more skateable and fun on small places where you have to choose and optimize space, wich are your non-obvious favorite spot on skatepark?

Obvius favorite spots:
- Bench
- Flatbar
- Low section rail
- Low section hubba

Thank you very much

Euro Gap. All the fun of skating gaps with none of the bullshit of hitting the ground so damn hard.

Definitely Euro gaps, or London gaps as we call them over here. Another firm fav of mine are angled manual pads to do tricks up and down. What I love about them is that I can endlessly try stuff that’s really hard for me to do without much potential for hurting myself. On ledges and rails I keep it to the basics, and I don’t jump down shit any more.

Euro....it's the less obnoxious version of a fly out and is low impact....

Mellow kicker....bank to ledge/manny pad...3-4' quarters.....mellow hips...

Traditional fucking pyramids with actual fucking flat.

I'm not sure if it's just an east coast thing but all of the new parks have those awful A-frames and I can't stand it. How am I supposed to pretend I'm competing in a late 90s Tampa Am if I can't launch tricks over the flat? Simple, I can't.

I miss pyramids so much. Not just the platform, but also the way you can skate the hips.

lol, everyone saying euro gaps don't realize that in order to skate most Euro's you pretty much have to snake everyone else in the park

As mentioned before a mellow pyramid with good hips and the right amount of flat on top is what I grew up on and therefore I will always love it. Its relatively safe to skate and a lot of the newer funbox centerpiece bastardisations are just too much (for old ass me).

Does it have a sign saying "snake to skate"?

Bank to ledges/curbs

A ditch/similar set up, with some parking blocks on top.

Euros, manny pads, normal ass curbs to slappy, a pole jam, decent lil grass gap.

Well I have like 9 Andy Anderson dated flight decks.

I love a good bench/ledge on the flat top of a mellow to medium pyramid, going angled from bank to bank at the hip (creating a triangle) but set back a half foot or so, so it doesn't get in the way of doing flip tricks over the hip at all. Hyped any time I find one of these at a park.

Euros are super fun if done well (I don't want to push my way up to the Euro...Tempe park has a super fun Euro gap and set up).
Stoner Park's tail drop to bank starting point is super fun.
Ledge to drop-down manual pads are super fun (Ithaca and Stoner Park both have this).
Bump to ledges are always fun (thin enough to board slide but wide enough to be skated like a ledge)
Pyramids, as mentioned above, so fun to ollie over and the pyramid hip is always fun for flip tricks.

Also, a manual pad that isn't in the way of the rest of the park (Tempe Park's manual pad doubling as the Euro gap is less than ideal).

Last a bank to mellow quarter-pipe like at Pecos Park. Not ideal for runs, but great for skating/hanging out.

I miss the SDG style parks. Not always pretty, but often pretty damn fun.

I love when people bring up world hunger. It makes everything meaningless.
"That guy is double parked."
"Who cares? There are people starving to death! Besides, how does that affect you? Does it lessen the joy of parking?
