Can anyone comment on their turn? If a venture is a 1 and ace is a 10, where do Film trucks land on the scale?

Interesting, i might try them then cause I really like Ace but the wheelbase is way too short for my liking on some boards.

Keep us posted if you do-
I love Aces but not crazy about the hanger grind feel and shape.

@RottenToTheCore try Tensor, Film bushings are interlocking ones.
Sir, I'm going to politely, but firmly, ask you and your common sense to leave this establishment.

Has anyone experienced their Films clicking really had after break in? Seems like the bottom washer is shifting around when I lean into a deep turn or pinch. Any known fixes for that? Other than the clicking I’ve really been enjoying them

Report back on Films. I've been skating a set for a few months now and I really like them. I'd love to set up an inverted kingpin to try on these but I can't find the Film ones in stock in the US.

Does anyone know if the Krux dlk ones (or any others) will fit?

has the same problem, seemed to be the king pin that was making the noise!

For some reason I get the feeling Film are like the French version of Royals. Budget to mid level trucks with short wheelbase and performance that no one has sung the praises of but no one who rides them seems to mind. I’d still be tempted to try them if I could get my hands on them in the US though

Good luck lol, even here it’s a chore to get some. My friend ended up driving all the way to fucking Lyon to buy a box and resell some to people at my local lol. Shame since they’re genuinely great trucks

I actually ended up getting a set online from Faith Skate Supply (Birmingham, AL). They skate real well but I’m experiencing what I believe to be QC issues with the bottom washers shifting around when maxing out the turn. I disassembled them expecting to find the kingpins loose but they’re in nice and tight as they should be. I got some epoxy so I used it on the where the bottom washers and baseplates meet, hopefully that resolves the clicking issue. So weird though, I’ve never had a truck do this before. My best guess is they made the holes in the washers too big

Mine also click. It is annoyung sound but do you think it is a propblem? I've checked the kingpin but it sits snug on its place without moving. I havent check the washer, though

Epoxying the bottom washers to the baseplates fixed mine.

Just checking on the WB extension (is that what you call it?) on the 4 hole Film 5.5s. The truck wheelbase thread has them at 3" but seen 3.18" as well. What's the general consensus? Anyone running the 5.5s on an 8.5 deck?

Oh cool. Just checked the website. Shipping is 22 Euro. I guess, I'll just wait until they hit the stores here. Thanks for the heads-up

I was surprised how well film did at the local shop i work at, we are in Canada so i wasn't expecting a relatively low-key euro brand to sell as fast as they did to random kids that never heard of it yet.

Axle length is just a hair over 9 inches (9 and a 1/16th). Hanger width is 163 mm. Axle height averages out to around 54 mm to center of axle when checked with a tape measure.

I think Macho said it before, but from some angles these trucks look like old Indy’s. And that has me curious.

Does anybody know what replacement kingpin you can get in the US would fit film trucks? I broke mine yesterday.

Looking at the baseplate above, won't a hexhead bolt fit? Grade 8

For those wondering, after some conscientious measurements on a fresh set of 5.25 (4 holes baseplate) I am able to affirm that they are 55mm high.

Yup, mine are also 55 mm.

I recently saw on their insta that a new mid truck is coming, but there wasnt any height mention and when i asked they probably got me worng cause they said they are gonna be in 135,145,155,165 (which is the width and not the height), but a guy commented that film had a mid truck before, and i also have seen a description in a couple of shops 2-3 years ago about film being 52 or 52,5 *can't remember.
the 55 are fine, but my short legs prefer something lower than this and today i found a great deal for the new royals which are 52 high. I am a fan of Daclin and the films but the pals here made some great comments about the new royals and was tempted a lot.

I'm French, so for my fresh twin tip set-up I bought a set of Film trucks quite evidently (French brand, good feedbacks, and much better pricing than anything else here), but the height measurements we can find on the web are quite inconsistant and confusing, so I thought it could be helpful for someone else to leave the information here.

Will maybe be a bit high with fresh 54mm wheels because I come from Ventures Low with worned to 50mm wheels, but well, I have long legs, so...

Mid trucks incoming is a good news!

Yeah, these new Royals seem pretty good!
