I know you fuckers are hiding among us. It's time to come clean.
What's your setup? and if you have a whole basement full of DIY parks, lets see em.

I got really good with tech decks as a kid. I had a friend that made a concrete bowl with mini pool coping. It was sick. I bought a fingerboard a few months back to see if I still had it and it was like riding a bike. My girlfriend promptly made fun of me and I haven’t touched it since. She didn’t think my kickflip front blunt on my hardcover book hubba was as cool as I did. I might just own it and do it anyway.

i could only do ollies and pressure flips on fingerboards but they were so satisfying

aren't there some fancy brands out there that offer a way better experience than tech decks? i thought i saw some fingerboard completes go for the same price as a real complete...

I used to cut out the decks from ads back in the 80's. 2 layers of cardboard, superglue the graphics on. leftover grip for the top. #2 pencil eraser for the baseplate. Break open a hot wheel for the axle-wheels. I'd roll a bit of masking tape around them and super glue them on. Built hella half pipes and would play with that shit until 3 am when I was 11 or 12. I did collect Tech Decks from like 99-03, but I sold them all when I moved. Regret that actually. I really liked the AWS, Habitat and old Flip ones a lot.

How do you rate those proper ones? I only have tech decks but I had a go of a wooden tech deck a while back, I really struggled with it
I think I’m just used to the narrower plastic ones

The black river ramps look dope I have a bunch of tech deck stuff lying around I got Hollywood high but it’s garbage it’s all out of proportion
There was a Rincon you could get but I never found it
Also the plastic ramps make such a horrid noise
Got that ditch too the one jerry darkslid but I think that came with a tech deck bmx bike or something

Usually just grab a couple books and that’s the ledge/manny pad

Started when I tore my acl. I was 23 so way later than when most people usually start. It honestly helps me focus sometimes, I’ll be working inside a house and take a break and carve sink coping for a little bit.

My friends and I often get stuck in my kitchen getting wasted and tech decking. Happens about every time we hang out together

I am having a great time with it on very loose trucks

Ha! I did this with a friend of mine last time he was at my house and we created a whole setup for filming my tricks.

I can. Nollie too.  8)

I got pretty damn good when I was in middle school. Build a sick park in my basement out of cardboard and other trash I found lying around. Sadly no photos.

Never tried any of those expensive boards. The newer techdecks are pretty solid though. Bigger shape and I think it's easier to control.

Whats everyones banger? I've always been a fan of 360 flip crook.

ill post up my collection later, its notthing crazy
i find it hard to film fingerboarding idk but i also have never put much time into it. i feel like no one really cares to watch it
i can do a lot of stuff pretty mcuh anything i can think of i have found a way to do it.

i feel like theres sorta 2 ways to do stuff

theres pressure flip way , then theres like the "real" way
most of my stuff is pressure flip way i find it actually looks a lot better than janked pop stuff where the wrist is going way up. theres ways to make it look good tho.
i also dont like when people dont carry speed through their tricks
that video above actually made the fingerboarding look pretty dope lol especially with the sounds

I did the pressure flip way all through high school then started thinking about doing it properly, got the fakie flip first then all the kickies etc
Nollie heels are hard nollie bs heel easier I reckon

I find a lot of the tech stuff easier switch just like the natural motion of wrist if that makes sense?
Like front blunt, back tail, shit like that and variations are waaay easier switch

I done sw flip back tail flip fakie, but haven’t been able to do it normally

Edit - would that be to forwards then?

Tre crooks is good I prefer just kicky crooks but that’s just me

Easiest ‘hard trick’ maybe fakie inward sw front crooks fakie inward out. Same as to fakie manual you can pressure that one hella easy and if you fuck it up just go fakie tre out

Had a couple tech decks on my desk for years. Kind of just do whatever with them when watching tv or something. Weird thing is probably a dozen times I've been out somewhere and I find one in my pocket it's like some toy story shit.

I'll be 29 in a few weeks and I know I'll always have a tech deck in my desk drawer until I die. I wish I would have bought the famous spots sets they did awhile back, just because. Also the little stickers were always good for phones and notebooks.

Not sure if anyone else does this, but I flip the remote control when I'm chillin on the couch. The grooves in the couch are ideal for tre flips. As for fingerboarding, I keep a tech deck around when I have phone calls to ease any nervous energy.

Also, a solid wooden cutting board is sick for manuals. Need something to do while the coffee brews.
