I wrote VE instead of sane. I’m almost certain you’re right, and that it was a sane piece. he tried claimed it was too dark or some shit.

VE was*allegedly*killed by his own friends but that’s not my story to tell.

or e-benching and watching some of the real nerdy railfan foamers film a 175+car freight train crawling at 5mph looking for old gems. i was surprised, lots of clipping and other toy shit but theres still alot of classic shit running. gives you an idea how many cars dudes like ichabod must have hit when you cant find an american freight train video that doesnt have atleast one of his tags. inner city kids hating on and acting above freights was always the corniest shit to me. that shit is a world of its own.

That crew that hit the white Tropicana trains were tight. I didn't know too many writers personally. I mostly did my thing solo. There was a freight mini-yard (a layup?) about a half mile from where I lived, I would get-up there and 287.

I used to trainspot when I lived close to the tracks. ICH, (ichabod took me forever to figure out what ich was) was definitely on any freight I saw for about 10 years. It all started around 1996.

My new job is trackside and i still see an ich on almost every train.
Im just far enough away from the tracks that i cant get good shots without a proper zoom lens but this means wholecars are really legible

I ended up watching his Olympic Twitch stream and now I get it. He definitely deserves his place alongside Degros as the other acceptable skate YouTuber.

it would make more sense that he capped a SANE than VE. They both live on you can find a good hand full of VE fire escape throws still living in bushwick and further south

Not sure who he is or where he came from but have really been getting a kick out of QZAR lately. I used to obsessively follow and document the scene I have a pretty good collection of photos from the last decade or so that I will most likely never scan. Maybe I'll die in a fire with them one day

suspiciously quiet. It was cool to see how supply chain ramped back up and there were more trains than ever hauling ass trying to catch up to demand after first wave of covid.

Wrapping trains for promotion isn't anything new, I guess I've seen it more in other cities than new york though, but also they've done a few higher ny profile things ahead of the last few seasons like do a cover for the post etc.
