frontside bertlemann slide

Not sure what this one is called, but you ride fakie  then like revert to regular while powersliding a little bit while planting and pushing it through with the foot that would be placed on the tail while riding fakie.

Lay back front boards too, where you swing them around like Gou Miyagi are really fun.

What quirky little moves do you like to do mid-line or while cruising? Chinese ollie? Behind the board push? Manhole ollie to manual?

I love switch 180 power slides (frontside). Feels so satisfying. And I'm always on the lookout for good cracks in the sidewalk to bounce off.

What the fuck is a Chinese ollie? And I'm not sure if this is what people were talking about, but I love doing those little powerslides where it's just your back wheels.

The little tail drag shifties that TG always did. As well as fakie frontside 180 powerslide while pushing (think Ben Koppl). Both are super fun and best done as fast as possible.

I don’t know if we’re talking about the same thing, but ollieing up a curb and planting your back foot to push is a go to when speed’s low and I’ll end up rocking on the curb.

Dump trucks, bs 180 dump trucks, slappy dump trucks. I hope other people call them dumpers. It’s when you no comply and turn the board a quarter kick flip then just flip it back quickly.

I like the little move to get a bit of grass or something off the top of your board. You kind of knock the board into primo with your front foot while you are pushing and it catapults the debris away. I sometimes like to use them to pass over a rough patch or crack as well.

The Biebelheimer or whatever it's called (aka starting a line by throwing your board down upside down and having it half flip back up).

It's so dumb. I love it.

nollie fs 180s without popping, like chinese nollies but out of a bank ramp, if you go fast enough you can do the whole spin in the air and it feels very satisfying

Not sure what to call it... A back 180 pivot? revert? When you're riding forward and you do a back 180 but your back wheels stay on the ground. Very fun

I'd add the half-ass-tail tap to the "nollie" into a bank. As far as adding flavor to rolling down a bank, I like to hold my legs for sec as I'm rolling over the edge then half-ass a tail tap as I'm rolling in. Makes the little kids think I can skate.

What's that move called, where you screech to the side only with your back truck? I love that.
yeah I dig them, can do them front side, backside or a little combo of both!
Powerslides are so satisfying too!

Making noise with the tail of your board is always fun. scrapes, nose grab scrapes, ollie to smack, tiny fire crackers rolling off curbs and shit. The sound of the tail scraping on a boosted boneless is all time but n/a as a 'non-trick'

the back wheels only powerslide thing rules, i like to do it into and out of banks

when we were way younger we started calling chinese ollies 'nollie bump jumps'.  dumb as fuck name, still better than chinese ollie though.  i love doing that shit off the coping into a small quarter pipe, terrifying but mega fun

i also like the rock to fakie without a rock move, just roll up the ramp, lift your front wheels over the coping and keep rolling up til you stop, then come back down.  like a manual to fakie i guess.  fun stuff.

Anyone else likes to do wheelies to fakie on transition?
The same as a rock to fakie, but without the rock.
Just wheelie up and down as close to the coping as possible. A bit scary, but really fun.

Oh and side rocks at quarters, my homies think they are rad but I never counted that as a real trick.

I thought dump trucks were Indy grab nose blunt into/over things.

I nominate “crollie” for crack ollie.

FS ride on slappies with enough speed to cross the seem of death are sick.

Tail block drop ins on quarters were my signature non-trick until I learned a valuable, albeit painful, lesson about round tails and slippery coping.

tweaked tail scrapes, if you get both directions down well they make for good little line filler tricks

back when i was a lil parkbuddy my boys used to do this front truck bash thing on the coping of big quarterpipes and go back in fakie. hard to describe. basically you cruise at the same speed needed for a rock fakie but you kickturn skrrt just a little bit then kinda just slam down into willy/switch back smith. like how people do those rockfakies that go into a little switch backsmith on the way in, picture that but without the kidrock fakie.

ive done a few lil dingers way back when i had a ramp to skate daily, but my hombres used to go back and forth seeing who could bash that shit the loudest.

also smashing your tail on an ollie over a sewercap and hitting it proper. making it sound like a lil .22 goin off. that is probably my favorite trick..."tricks" that make cool sounds > "tricks" that dont make cool sounds

just taking off your front foot while you're riding and popping the board perfectly into your hand to run up a curb or some stairs in the middle of a line, I think I saw like Danny Renaud and Reese do this and had to learn it. maybe Rattray too

I will never forget the first board I focused. Does that count? It felt like learning a new trick at the time. My mom was pissed.
